    Who would be the captain, if not Lee?
    Barzal? – maybe, maturity is coming around
    Horvat? – newcomer, has the qualities of being a captain (work ethic, toughness, voice on bench)
    Cizikas? – too late in his career, but I love how he leads by example (on the ice, at least)
    Dobson? – too quiet, soft
    Nelson? – last year as an Islander?
    Pulock? – too quiet, not the leader type
    Pelech? – not the leader type
    Palmieri? – last year as an Islander
    Pageau? – time is ticking on wearing and Islanders' jersey
    Not sure who leads in the dressing room?

  2. You mean our best player down the stretch and in the playoffs? Senile Lou isn’t trading the captain. Jgp,engvall, and lee were our best line in the playoffs .(while it lasted) lol Gil, we know the roster is already set. Duclair and another Russian question mark. Drive for 5!

  3. lee should wear a 'T' for thief on the jersey for all the $$$'s he is stealing from isles not being worth the bang for the buck player. Make a trade with flames who are looking to dump kadri-maybe back to av's-looking to go full blown re-build with lotsa cap room to boot.
    Eddie w., potvin, jethro, b. sutter, flatley, peca. Isles have had some great captains. pj judas-not so much. At least lee stayed when he could have fled pj judas style.

  4. It’s unquestionably now time for Lee to pass the C on to someone else. There were rumblings about his unfitness for the past 2 seasons, but now it’s very clearly time for a change. Barzal is the most obvious successor – a career islander, our most skilled player, no longer a “kid,” has a lot of heart and emotion, and most importantly he’s honest about when he and the team come up short.

  5. If he’s still on the team they shouldn’t, don’t make much sense to remove the captaincy from a player still on the team, all it will do is create a strife we don’t need

  6. give it to horvat and quick tool this team if ur not gonna rebuild it but i think its pretty obvious who needs to stay and who needs to go and lee needs a change of location the island isnt it for bro he fell off after that lighting series and those injuries were the icing on the cake for the dude
