Mobile cut the body of the post but I understand that Bryant and Curry were extremely popular players however based on level of success and consistency Tim is second to none. 5 rings match him with Kobe and that’s without an all time dominant player at his side like Shaq. His stats while not the best still match up to those players when you look at advanced stats. This is just a popularity contest at this point.

  2. Sites like ESPN and the Ringer love these lists because people get all bent out of shape over minor ranking differences. There’s really little difference between 2 and 5 or whatever, all the players are wildly successful and legends of the game.

  3. If Timmy played for a large market and had the same career accomplishments he’d edge out Kobe. Kobe is not even the best of his position while Timmy is.

  4. Look guys, Duncan’s first title was in the 1000s millennium, was a whole other league back then and doesn’t count. /s
