  1. What happened to the way Dodgers hitters used to make pitchers work into counts, being patient. I can't count how many times a batter will swing at the first pitch, right after that pitcher walked a batter on 4 pitches! That's what makes Juan Soto so good. If you don't throw him a hittable pitch, he'll gladly walk!

  2. The Dodgers lack of activity is proof positive that they have been manipulating the IL in order to rest guys for a late season kick. They have effectively segregated the season into two halves. The first is the depth half, in which the forty man is the feeding trough. Then they awaken their key players for a two month/eleven win postseason run.

  3. Poly multi-positional versatility is detrimental in October where stable hitters excel. The Dodgers attempt to convert their platoon bats into anchors who, unfortunately, sink.

  4. Comparing Watson whio was second teir RP to Scott is not truly comparable. We don;t have any relievers that miss bats like him. I think Fields was a Dodger first, per MLB stat (2018). We need a younger back-end shut down arm which is not a rehab / retread special. A few of us actually wanted him B4 the season started. Thanks for the fun pod though.

  5. I don't hate the moves. Lots of defensive flexibility in Edman, and Kopech is the guy who once threw 110mph! High ceiling guy. I envisioned the Dodgers getting more for Vargas last year, but unfortunately his defensive limitations have hurt his value a bit. I'm sure he'll see some time at DH for Chicago, unfortunately for him that spot is spoken for in LA for the foreseeable future……..

  6. What puzzles me about the assumption that Arte Moreno would never trade with the Dodgers is I'd be surprised if Angel fans could dislike him any more than now, so if he could help the Angels by trading with the Dodgers, why not do it? jm2c
