  2. Bloss wasn’t really as good as we all expected him to be. Loperfido and Cabbage are also good bargaining chips for a 1st baseman. Hell, throw Chas in there also

  6. Fire Dana Brown before he screws up this team anymore! 3 top 25 prospects for an average pitcher on a rental deal!! One of the worst deals of the century.

  7. I was okay with this trade when it was just for Bloss but Joey L. too for Kikuchi, who every time he faces the Astros, he doesn't go deep into the game. Dana Brown and company totally crap this bed. Kikuchi better becomes a quality SP because they traded for him like one.

    Edit: This day sucks, stupid trade, Pressly and Hader blew another game again.

I’m surprised that he didn’t throw Tucker into the deal. I didn’t want to mention it because it might give him ideas. It’s Cranes team, he can blow it up any way he wants to. When does football season start?😂😂

  14. This literally may be the worst trade in Astros history. Just Bloss? Okay, I can deal with it. Bloss may end up being a better career pitcher than Kikuchi, but we need someone now so fine. Loperfido AND Wagner to go along with him?! Heck no. I would have rather stood pat holy crap. This is absolutely ridiculous. If Vlad was included it’d be a LITTLE more understandable, but this is just absolutely ridiculous what the heck are they doing?

  25. How does a team with a not so highly regarded farm system STILL overpay? This was a trade of desperation just to make a trade. I would have just done nothing which would have been logical because other teams wanted high rated prospects which the Astros don’t have

  26. Kikuchi is mediore…such a terrible deal for the Astros. When D Brown said he would go after a big arm I thought at least they would go after Blake Snell or sign Trevor Bauer.

I understand the market is expensive because there isn’t much sellers, but if you were giving up these guys I would’ve fathered even if you had to give another guy I would’ve rather a Blake snell or a jack flaherty, then Kikuchi, it’s true you didn’t give the best prospects like melton Mathew’s and Baez but it’s a very disappointing trade unless he pitches half the era he had the rest of the season
