Nobody knows the injury risk of pre season more than panthers fans. Between both Cam and corral it can be detrimental.
That being said. Our offense was so putrid last year. And our O line is so new and trying to gel along with these receivers that there has to be some value in letting them get in a couple drives in real time.
We are in no position to not be taking the preseason and opportunities for reps seriously.
We collectively gaslit ourselves into thinking the preseason didn’t matter last year and we see how that went.
The Bengals who are notorious for punting the preseason are not this year because they’re tired of starting slow.
Unless there’s some direct injury risk we don’t know about I hate this.
I think Dave knows he needs the work but he also doesn’t like the protection now. My guess is he’ll end up playing a drive or so eventually in a preseason game, probably not this week with OL injuries.

Bryce needs reps. Reps are important. He better play.
Trust the QB whisperer. He knows he got the best player in the draft last year. No need to risk injury
As someone going to preseason week 3, not a fan of this call.
They should put a redshirt and flags on the QB in the preseason. The whole point is to scrimmage. Teams shouldn’t have to risk losing the most important piece of their teams success in exchange for live reps in meaningless games.
I get they want to protect starters but come on the offense was putrid last year they have to get some reps
A dude that absolutely sucked last year needs all the playing time he can get but you the coach so okay
We are quite literally the worst team in the league. We really have nothing to lose. We don’t even know if Bryce Young is a half decent QB yet. Just let them play. Hell let the whole first string play a whole game for fucks sake. At least we can make a determination about how shitty we’re gonna be.
I trust the regime we have place – if that’s what they deem best so be it
