Unknown Denver Broncos Rookie Is Rocketing Up Depth Chart

We are just a few days away from the Denver Broncos preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts and today Sean Payton gushed about an unknown undrafted free agent out of Fresno State. Levelle Bailey was one of Sean Payton’s biggest priorities as the NFL Draft winded down and he personally called Levelle twice to recruit him to Denver. Multiple other teams wanted Levelle to come try out for their team but he chose the Denver Broncos. When you pair this with Sean’s comments today about how Jonas Griffith and Cody Barton aren’t competing with each other, but are competing with 53 man rosters from every other team in the NFL it really makes me wonder how settled we are at that position. Who do you think ends up starting at Inside Linebacker for the Denver Broncos on day 1. We also look at comments from Bo Nix about the depth chart and applaud his laid back confidence. Do you think Sean Payton is making a mistake by not declaring a starting quarterback now and instead divvying up snaps with the 1’s over training camp?

Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel by being here and engaged everyday, I was thinking back to this time last year and just so thankful for this group of people to talk about my favorite team with!

  1. Coach knows what he is doing. Just breathe brother. If it were me I would put Bo with the 3's in preseason game 1 to see the game in a bit slower fashion then start Bo with the 1s or 2's the next game to acclimate to real NFL speed. The last preseason game to just do a tuner. I think this will help Bo be more ready for the season opener. Just my thoughts. Would love to hear any comments to my thoughts of this. What do you all think? How should Coach do this?

  2. How can you say you trust Sean Payton but then say he needs to make a decision? If you trust him, trust his process. He'll make the decision he feels is best for the team when the time is right.

  3. Randy Gradishar #53 is by far the best true LB the Broncos have ever had, he would have went into the HOF years ago if it weren't for the fact that he played in the same era as Jack Lambert Steeler HOF'er overshadowed him because of the four Super Bowl wins. The second best Broncos LB would be Karl Mecklenburg #77 and he has an outside chance of making it to the to the HOF someday.
