  1. Time of possession and 3rd down conversion percentage for both offense and defense. Are those more key than takeovers? PC always wanted to be positive in turnovers compared to opposing teams

  2. Just went and looked at last seasons preseason TOP. We did not do THIS. We actually were beat this way the packers in the first preseason game last year. This is a good sign.

  3. The crazy thing is about those negative metrics from last year, was they still won 9 games. There were other teams with better metrics with way worse records. So imagine fixing some of those issues to average, how many more games can we win?

  4. I know it's preseason so I don't want to overstate things, but the team just seemed to have a faster tone, more giddy up to em'…. even the flat throws to the RBs were fast, decisive, and not allowing the defender to already be in the backfield… and we actually stopped a screen lol. Stuff that EVERY team seems to do and just abuse Seattle on in the last few years… we were doing and stopping lol.

And on the TOP topic, I kept saying this last year over and over… Seattle had the 3rd worst 3rd down conversion % allowed and the worst TOP on defense allowed. And I don't want to hear that crap about "Well Seattle's offense blah blah blah" – the number of times I watched Seattle go down the field and score early, and then the defense allow an 8 minute drive that STILL resulted in points, was maddening…

Carroll lost it IMO… he had 2 of the highest paid safeties in the league (why I dunno), a top 5 DB, a 2nd round pick given up for a DL who played well but why we went in with what we had is baffling, paid for Jones, a future HOFer in Wagner, basically a 1st round EDGE in Hall who he barely used, Mafe who was great, Nwosu (who got injured) who was great, one of the best cover corners in the league who he benches after forcing him to make a play on CMAC with a lead blocker (THE HELL? Even Allen watched that and was like WTF? I think that was the turning point), and you field a bottom 5 defense?

Whatever, SO glad we're beyond Carroll. Mac came into a PERFECT situation IMO. This team is LOADED with talent. I wouldn't be surprised if we're in the SuperBowl within a few years.

  5. You know the way coach Mike didn't let cell phones at practice well your not going to see the real offense and defense in the pre season, and if these guys can keep building on this well yeah mike said we want to be a team that other teams don't want to play 😂 go Hawks 🦅 rarrrrrrrrrr 🦖

  6. It was a good change to watch us be able to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down, and actually be able to convert on 3rd and shorts. It felt like we had an answer offensively for everything the chargers were showing us. McIntosh looked like everything we wanted him to be
