  3. Cody says its not like they are 7 out. Well they damn near are having 5 more losses than the Braves and needing to finish better than them since Atlanta owns the tiebreaker. So they are chasing 6 losses. They also don't have any tiebreakers with the other 7 WC teams and and could lose it to the Pirates still.

  4. People need to stop crying about the closer going into this year kinda talk. Azolay in the closer role was simply elite last year. No reason to believe he wasn't healthy. Merryweather was a great backup plan for him and set-up man, but then they got the best set-up man available. Leiter coming back and lots of young talented arms, and some with good experience last year. What more do you want? Overpaying for Hader…? He sucked the first 2 months or so. There wasn't anyone really available for this. 9 times out of 10 the best closers and shutdown guys are developed and maybe traded for at deadline. They're not free agents. When Jed holds a master class in picking up bullpen arms and turns them into gold people make fun of him for "dumpster diving." Thank God he did that and got Tyson and Lopez!

    Also, stop with Vald Jr talk. He has nowhere to play. Might as well bring back Morel…🙄. Busch is the 1B and there's a gluttony of OF bats on the team currently and ready to come up. They'll be rotating in at DH. Don't need 3 1B (counting Belli) on the roster and selling prospects to get one of those 1B. And he's not that good. Cubs need HR and Vlad is not that guy. Just stop.

I know that was a tough hop for Parades but FUCK man… It's so fookin cubs to trade for a guy who is supposed to "finally stabilize third base" and the man has made several errors since getting here…. And he strikes out with bags juiced. Obviously I know he's trying his best every day but if you told me the guy is trying to piss us off any chance he gets, I'd believe it 😅😅
