Should Arizona Diamondbacks skipper Torey Lovullo be National League Manager of the Year?

The Arizona Diamondbacks continue to be on a hot streak but Torey Lovullo doesn’t appear to be in the conversation for National League Manager of the Year. Wolf & Luke take a closer look at why Lovullo is still being overlooked.

  3. Still got a long month to go. From 7 under .500 to 19 over is solid. With all the injuries too. This team has not had all their core guys on the field together yet this season. Dbacks are doing this with walker, marte and moreno on the IL. Keep rolling snakes!

  4. Justin Martinez threw 1 sinker in 2023, he has already thrown 430 sinkers in 2024.
    Pfaadt's sinker usage went from 9.9 in 2023 to 22.4 and his sinker is up .5mph in 2024 while his 4 seamer stayed at 93.7 in 2023 and now in 2024.
    The Dback pitching coaches DID NOT know how Roger Beshens teaches his sinker, 2 seam on label, thumb as high as comfortable. Roger Beshens is known for his Football Slider, on center grip, throw like Football, Stiff wrist.
    The on center grip Roger teaches can be 2 seam on label, thumb as high as comfortable and is used for his Football Slider but it's also the most dangerous sinker in MLB with that same GRIP. Roger Beshens at Cameblback Ranch March 4 2024 watched Tommy Henry warm up in right field throwing that 2 seam football slider and then Tommy said, Wow I never did that before. What Tommy did was had the 2 seam grip for the football slider and then threw it like a fastball and learned that ball really tails with that 2 seam grip on label and thumb on side. That's the sinker the Dback's have mastered in 2024.
    Where would the Dbacks be without the Roger Beshens Football Slider and that sinker?
    The Dbacks now know the blueprint the Rays, Yankees, Braves, Dodgers knew in 2018, which is have ALL RB Football Slider guys and spend the big money on the hitting. The Dbacks didn't need Monty or Erod If Roger Beshens was the pitching coach there would be no reason to get a PUK cause he can teach them in NO time in the minors. One month with a guy who throws 95 with control and that's a Puk, Ginkel, Pfaadt.
    Monty and EROD don't throw the RB football slider, they are supposed to be great cause they signed big contracts. Fact is they SUCK compared to Ginkel, Puk, Pfaadt who throws the RB FOotball Slider. They are BOTH deadwood. GIve that money to Ginkel, Pfaadt and Puk and if they hired ROger Beshens after the season, give that money to the guys he grooms. If Roger was down on the farm he would be spitting out Ginkels, Puk's Pfaadts. What are Drabek and BAJ doing?
    Strom should recommend Roger Beshens ASAP for the 2025 season.
    The Dbacks should seriously think about hiring Roger Beshens in some capacity.
