  1. Good size and plays hard. Since Berggren is probably on his way out, Watson would be a good addition on the 4th line. He would be what Kostin was supposed to have been but failed to be.

  2. Not sure we have plans to carry 13 forwards, so I wouldn’t imagine he makes the team even if he does bring an element that we could use on our 4th line. The elephant in the room is his past, but I think it’s a bit more complicated than many think and how Austin and his partner have both changed their lives is at least a commendable example of personal growth that not everyone is capable of.

  3. Pretty annoyed that they still haven’t accepted my Professional Tryout Offer but whatever I guess.

  4. My main memory of this guy was when he played for Nashville he got arrested for a DUI like 5 min from where I lived lmao

  5. I went to highschool with him in Windsor. Got mixed feelings on him has a person but he could be a solid 4th line addition of he has a good camp.

  6. I like this guy. He’s more of a need for our 4th line along with Motte vs the scoring 4th liners we got. He’s the snot we need

  7. He’s an inferior version of Motte or Fischer, and his reputation as an enforcer is worthless considering he’s lost almost every fight he’s been in. The only reason he’s on a PTO is because he’s from Michigan.

  8. My first reaction was nothing ever comes of PTOs, but then I remembered Hutchinson from last season. It’s still weird to me that the Wings are heading into the season with 8D and 3G. I don’t necessarily think Watson gets signed, but I think if they wind up carrying a 13th forward it’ll be someone like him or another AHL-vet type player.

  9. I mean, my ea NHL 94 one timer game is leagues better than anything these cockdarryl’s could Ever aspire too…. But whatever.

  10. So, do players on a PTO get paid? Maybe that’s a dumb question, but it feels like a job interview(which you don’t get paid for).
