Why do left handed swings almost always look better?

Because most pitchers are right handed.
Left-handed batters carry their swings into their progress towards first base. Much smoother transition to base running because their shoulders and hips are already rotating towards that direction.
Plot twist: They don’t.
In fact: They look about equal. Some look like shit, some look great. Same goes for right handers. Then we have to remember switch hitters too. Maybe it’s them that look the best?
Meh. Aaron Judges swing is looking pretty good.
You should of added Will Clark’s swing, it was a thing of beauty
How is Will Clark not on this slideshow? He had the prettiest left handed swing in baseball history. Thing of beauty.
As a lefty myself I’ve always thought we look backwards.
just because it’s not as common I think. I think lefty shooter in the NBA look cooler, like Harden.

Missing one
Because they are better 🙂
Strawberry had one of best swings ever
Idk my favorite swing every is Mamny Ramirez
I played A LOT OF baseball, and taught my self to switch hit, b/c I HATED how my righty swing looked so herky jerky, I always felt that lefty swings looked more fluid, and had less motion than righties.
I think as someone mentioned Lefties open up towards first while righties open up towards third this allows them to carry their momentum towards the natural direction or flow of the sport, wheras righties have to “unwind” a bit to get moving.
It’s why I was also always jealous of DRAG BUNTING man I loved watching good lefties lay down a drag bunt.
I will tell you that it also felt more “fun” to me to bat as a lefty and I didn’t lose any of the power I had on my (natural) right side of the plate. I also felt like I saw the ball longer and got a MUCH better read on it when facing righties than when I did before being able to switch.
No Ohtani?
When I was a kid I thought lefty pitchers were somehow more finesse than a righty and that’s what I thought was the reason teams wanted them. The finesse of a lefty. Now mind you I wasn’t a brilliant kid
Ken Griffey Jr was the only picture needed. Sexiest swing in baseball history.
Gotta have Jim Edmonds on this list
OP has obviously never heard of Stan Musial
It’s weird because lefty QBs look like they’ve never thrown a football before
Because lefty’s rule and righties drool
davinci was a liar and that four armed dude in the circle is actually oblong
Lefty here and I’ve always thought the opposite. I mean yes there have been some really good lefties with an awesome swing (Kid, Ichiro I am looking at you two). But some of the smoothest swings I’ve seen come from righties. I used to love ARod’s swing, it seemed effortless. Pujols, Big Mac. Maybe because I grew up watching roids era baseball.
