  1. I laugh at Jets fans who still think we lost this trade and still compare Laine to Gordie Howe, and Jackets fans proclaiming him and Roslovic were gonna carry them to the cup. Dubois is Alexandre Daigle 2.0, ego above everything. I'm honestly convinced these 2 are the biggest cancers in the NHL, and I would not be surprised if the cry themselves out of their new teams at the end of 2025.

  2. When the Jets were trying to unload PLD, there was a real probably he was going to end up with my Habs. Yet, in a twist of fate, it was Laine who ended up with my team.
Let's just say I am relieved.

  3. Eh dude!
From a Habs fan, I can assure you we are very very very excited about Laine.

Sadly for him, we have number 29 retired since 2007 in respect for one of the best goalies of all time, Ken Dryden. Patrik will wear #92.

I expect him to be very average in pre-season when he plays. He will mostly play with different lines, testing his chemistry, it'll be quick shifts for everyone and he won't take risk to make sure he doesn't get injured, but when the real season starts, I think and hope he will be a power forward with steady linemates.

I joked that he will get 64 goals & 35 assists for 99 points if he plays 80+ games this season, along with the Maurice Rocket Richard trophy. That would be the dream, but just half that will also be acceptable.
