As a fan born in 1999, it feels weird to get a win that’s considered an upset after it was the other way around for the first 20 years of my life.
Best thing about being 1-0…
Good to get a win and the team was definitely better than expected, but I think we all need to take a step back and realize that in a lot of ways the Bengals beat themselves. The passing offense is really going to need to step it up a bit.
Not trying to be negative, just trying to be realistic.
Wins are always hard to get in this league and as massive underdogs we take that 10/10 times. Feels good to feel something other than apathy again
Covington better not leave us after this year
I’m just enjoying the ride this season. Still not expecting us to get anywhere but happy with any and we get. Plus I want Mayo to have some success this year. If we can make it to .500 that would be great and what I consider a good season for a first year head coach. After all the bitching in the off-season about getting rid of Bill he deserves to have some consideration.
It’s a long season, but great to get a W in the first game. No expectations though.
Nice stuff to build on! I think we still need to improve the OL and see if we can open up passing more. But let’s see.
Local radio and media were talking about the pats going winless, it’s nice to shut them up after one week. Expectations are still low, but this one felt great.
Nice to watch a game again without that thought percolating in the back of your mind that a win might take us out of a spot to draft a franchise QB. We probably still are going to lose a bunch of games, but at least unambiguously being able to root for and experience the joy of wins when they happen was a welcome return.
Really excited about how Layden Robinson, Keion White, and Gonzo played yesterday.
The dramatics about the O line are looking to be overblown already
Very happy about the W. Brisket didn’t give the game away like Jones or Zappe would have done, I know HH saved an INT but otherwise he was mostly solid. Defense is strong and should carry this team, this season might be more positive than expected.
It feels like Maye was robbed of a W.
