What frusterated you about yesterday's loss for the Detroit Lions? LET'S HEAR IT! ⬇
Worst play calling in my 50 years of watching the Lions .Red zone was horrific. Not gonna win without PUNCHING IT IN!
I disagree with the field goal debacle before half.
That was a huge mistake. We would not have to go for a TD late in the game because of those 3 pts. Could have played for the FG late in the game. BTW that had to be on the Special Teams coach for not knowing the situation.
I blame Qb. Jared Goof. He can’t see anything but check down s 3 yards down the field and if he see s a bit of pressure he shts in his pants and will throw 2 to. 3 ints.
"Pretty bad pass" wasn't within 60 feet of the nearest Lion.
Don’t blame coaches. Tampa never had a run game. And score more points than us
Ben Johnson period
Goff should never get past 30 on pass attempts. When he gets in his slumps its usually about a 4 game stretch, focus on running until Goff looks good and then still keep running anyway because this is supposed to be a playaction offense.
Goff didn’t "miss" Jamo he was knocked off his routeur should have been PI
I am probably wrong but to me, it almost seems like Goff is hurt St.Brown is that was clear as day throughout the game. Let's just hope they bounce back next week this is only one loss let's not make it two.
Look like the lions are going backwards instead of forward 😅it’s still early in the season but they should of won that game no excuses remember they are favorite to win the superbowl 😅
it STARTS and ENDS with the Oline
Run the ball what was ben thinking.
Wow dude, lost all respect for your analyzing ability, it was so obviously that the 1st interception was an anticipation throw where JMo was held/knocked off the timing of his break. It's a pass they completed tons of times last year between Goff and multiple receivers.
To be fair it's hard to beat a team 3 times in a row but Ben Johnson over thought his game plan. Now the 4th quarter run blocking was not good. But the play of the game for me was 1st & 10 at TB 13 1:17 left and they choose to throw a swing pass to Gibbs which wasn't working all game and lost us 4 yards. If they gave the ball to Monty there a few times I believe he finds away to get it in the endzone. But onto Arizona where Goff don't lose 😎
When Stafford lost, they blamed it all on him even though he had a garbage organization. Goff loses and they blame it on coaches. Goff played shitty.
Throwing screen vs the fast LB core is insane.
Why and the hell abandoned the run 🏃♀️
I hope they get alot of feedback 🙏
With all the premature Superbowl hype I've been hearing from just about everyone, it can be tough for them to keep their heads about them. Maybe a humbling loss will bring them back to reality that they have to win today and forget tomorrow until tomorrow.
1: Play calling (too pass happy).
2: Jarrod Goff's sub par performance.
3: Ineffective red zone execution .
1 for 7 in the red zone. Left 42 points off the board
Biggest glaring issue is the starters not playing during preseason. So now you have a offense with no continuity, rhythm, timing and consistency. You need that game time speed to shake the rust off. The DB's could have use some preseason reps too. You cant worry about injuries, its part of the game. But I agree, the defense did bend but they didn't break and kept them in the game. The OC should have been running it down their throats. The play calling was a head scratcher, Goff was off, the timing with the receivers were off. The first INT was not on Goff, should have been a PI. I don't expect bad offensive play to last much longer, but if we would have got plenty of reps in preseason, I don't think we would be having this slow start.
Jarad Goff and Ben Johnson. That’s the reason. Period
The first Interception was bullshit. That was a clear DPI and in a timing based offense you can't you can't pin that one on Goff.
1: 55 pass attempt for a mediocre QB is not a good gameplay
2: Goff being a mediocre QB
BLAME for the Detroit Lions Ugly Loss? are the fans who cheering Goff name who is nothing more or less an excellent game manager with a host of limitations surrounded by elite talent ,Lion frount office is to blame for making Goff who PFF had 16th as a QB.Jared Goff himself is not to blame he did what his talent level says he is a 3rd tier QB .So trying to ask who's to blame is like taking in a snake and getting bit and blaming the snake ,WE ALL KNEW WHAT GOFF WAS WHEN WE EXTENDED HIM SO DONT ACT LIKE YOU KNEW DIFFERENT GOFF IS TRASH AND WE WILL SUFFER FOR HAVE A DECADE WITH NO SUPERBOWL
All Three coaching levels is at fault especially offensive play calling with all passing and minimal run plays and forcing to get St. Brown involved…
Missed Jameson you mean there was a missed penalty?
Coach Campbell's strengths are motivation and creating a winning culture. His area of weakness has been game management since he became the Lions head coach. He has improved in the area of game management but still needs to improve. I have rarely heard anyone laud his performance as a play caller; so, he is either totally delegating that to Coach Johnson or Campbell needs further development in this area too. I trust that Campbell will grow and improve with time.
Arnold hurt.
3rd and goal at the three. Monty just ran up the middle for 7 yards. And we pass for an incompletion. WTF? That was the game in one play. Problem was there were about 25 other single plays that cost the game.
A poorly prepared and coached team. There’s no reason to think the offense will suddenly fix themselves when the HC has his head up his butt and the OC calls the dumbest plays ever.
And what really pissed me off wax during the DC post game. DC stating the long 3rd downs was a big problem. HOW ABOUT THE NUMEROUS SHORT 3RD DOWNS WITH STUPID PLAY CALLS?
Yeah Goff was bad but that could have been overcome!
Ben was outcoached, Dan did one of his first quarter of season mistakes he always does. Goff was just plain off.
And the Buccs just played a better defensive game credit where credit is due we played them 3 times in 2 seasons.
Our Defense is starting to REALLY GEL and I trust our offense to figure it out.
"Ben Johnson, the best play caller on the offensive side of the ball, as OC in the game…." (Jeff Iafrate) What? Kyle Shanahan (wears both head coach and OC hats) might disagree. The Dolphins, Cowboys, Niners, and Ravens all scored more points last year. Coach Johnson has been great for the Lions, but the best?????
It's a frustrating lose because by all metrics we should have won but it could be a good lose in hindsight to get the teams head in order. There are still 15 more games we're good for now.
MCDC is top of my list….. Mismanagement of the end of the half, prior to that we punt well within Bates range – there's potentially 6 point OFF THE BOARD!
Jeff Frank has half a foot zietler is 50 years old and Sewell has a bad ankle that's why they threw the ball so much
Goff played like a bum. He could have me saved the game
Man Jeff I couldn't agree with you more. Ben is supposed to be this great play caller yet he continued to try passing instead of running even with Kancey and Vita out. Unacceptable.
The defense played extremely well ? Until they stop a mobile QB, this D has not demonstrably fixed their biggest issue from last year.
Cue Kyler Murray…..
Blame the team, they were all at fault. Goff on the O, and then the D that allowed Mayfield to run around like Lamar Jackson, Arnold with ANOTHER PI, and then the D treating Godwin like he has terminal COVID and not coming within 10 feet of him (117 yards).
Coaching should of took field goals while in red zone
Goff is ass 😂 he back to form this the same way he played after he signed a big contract in LA.
Guys, you cannot have it both ways. You cannot optimistically claim “All these teams steal our plays”. And then when the plays don’t work, they’re “too cute”. Every OC calls screens it’s a defect that comes with every one. Sometimes players don’t execute that’s the issue
Why didn't they run the ball more that's our identity
Offense / Playcalling needs to wake up
The bucs defense was hurt we played 2nd and 3rd string players some were from the practice squad first time start in the NFL vida went out halfway through the game and we still beat you guys
I blame the lions as a team for loss …deep down the lions under estimated the bucs ….key players out ..windfield defense front line ..secondaries ….7.5 in las vegas ..not too mention the lions beat the bucs 2x last year ..so ..altogether came down the lions players and coaches …
The Coaches and Goff, Goff isn't playing like a high paid QB.
