  1. Shohei looks like a shoo-in for NL Player of the Week, and probably Player of the Month for September, depending on the last 6 games. He leads all of MLB, not just NL, in RBI, HR, SB, SLG, and OPS in September so far.

  2. If Ohtani ends up winning the MVP (which seems a little more than likely at this point), that would be an incredible achievement as a DH only this season. But if he ends up winning it unanimously then holy hell my mind would absolutely explode. 🤯

  3. I’m late to the party! Only 4 players have ever won MVP with different teams; Bonds, ARod, Frank Robinson, and from when Jeff was a kid, Jimmie Foxx 🙂 They all did it with teams in the same league.

  4. People getting mad about almost losing to the Rockies aren't paying attention to their recent record. They won 2/3 against the Dbags, won 2/3 vs the Cubs and won 2/3 vs the Brewers this month.

  5. This guy is getting 700 mill to DH..a guy who doesnt care about the money? Why take so much then ? Its not like he is big pappi either. Great shape and he just sits..then swings 5 times a game.

  6. Remember how Americans all thought Japanese players wouldn’t make it in MLB… when they all said they were too small, were too soft and break in the rigors of MLB season? The open racism of the good old boy system of MLB… I do… I remember when Ichiro hit MLB and commentators said he’d wash out… break down… he’s still in better shape then most his age and younger…

  7. Yo! DODGERS Fans. Are you entertained? Bet nobody saw this coming. In his first year it seems like he's gained the trust and hearts of his teammates & fans. It's safe to say that Ohtani is now the face of the MLB & Dodgers.

  8. Steve Sax should have an espn 30 for 30, or does Dodgers films have the equivalent already? He IS Dodger Blue. A fan favorite who was a spark plug, Lasorda's young whippersnapper and a character of comic relief due to being young. Great story of perseverance , and he is an even better human being. I really enjoyed experiencing his career.

  9. They pumish the DH for not playing average defense even though only 3 DH have a WAR over 3. WAR loves the SS position, they have the most players with a WAR over 3.0 with 18. If Mookie Betts stayed at SS instead of moving back to RF would his WAR be higher? With Mookie in right, he has a lower WAR, but the Dodgers are a better team
