Who do you blame for the failure between Pierre Luc Dubois and the Los Angeles Kings? Let me know if you think PLD will have a bounce back year with the Washington Capitals!
That's Charlie
The kings will pat themselves on the back by trading him and even getting a half decent goalie in return.
They gave him 8.5🤦‍♂️
Embarrassing
Ovechkin will either inspire him or break him. Either way, PLB is a bigger bust than chucky…barring the felony convictions.
They also gave up Sean durzi to acquire the 2nd in the pld trade
There’s some contracts you see get signed and you go “uhhhhhhhh why” and PLD to LA was one of those, we knew that ship was gonna sink but we didn’t think it was after year 1. I hope he gets bought out and doesn’t play in the NHL again, this guy is a clown
Washington trading for him gave the kings a huge lifeline. If I was the owner of washington I would fire the GM the second I heard of this trade. What in the world was washingotn thinking.
PLD was lucky to be a pro athlete in LA making $8.5 million in LA and he wasted it, if I had his life playing pro hockey in LA making $8.5 million I would buy a house in the hills drive a roof down Ferrari and bang every Instagram model living in LA. Too bad PLD only lived in LA for a year but hopefully he made the most out of the lifestyle there.
Rumors is he was asking for 8+million from the Jets, who were not willing to meet his demands, so they traded him to the Kings. His parents live in Winnipeg and had said he enjoyed the city. After he got to the Kings he didn't get to play the same minutes as he got in Winnipeg. His points and confidence took at hit. If he gets the minutes to can get a good number of points.
Great Video, as usual, Jimmy. I think that you've got to give a lot of criticism to Torts. Both Patrik Laine & he had troubles with John Tortorella/Torts in Columbus. Let me know what you think
PLD is a lazy diva. No business in NHL.
PLD is a lazy baby.
Winnipeg is A dump. It literally shouldn’t exist. No more need for A city located there. Why would any millionaire professional athlete want to play there?
$8.5mill
Wow. Up there with the outrageous Benn/Huberdeau/Nurse/Jones contracts.
Thats a F ton of money for a 3rd/4th liner.
I think pld will have a come back year because his back is against the wall. Also the expectations with Washington will be less. They aren't a cup contender.
Just a locker room cancer
So happy Habs management didn't get fooled like the French fanbase and media clamoring for him
Moving in PLD to your organization these days would be like moving in a girl to your home that just got dumped by three different guys in short order. Probably something you might want to reconsider.🤔
It's easy to blame Dubois but he was thrown into a new locker room, with less icetime as a 3rd center.
1- Kopitar was the nb 1 center with offensive duties
2- Philip Danault was the nb 2 center with defensive duties. (the guy changed team because of potential reduced ice time)
3- His linemates were rookies and rank fillers ( sorry Trevor Lewis)
How exactly is that a winning condition?
Love these types of videos Jimmy, keep up the great work!
PLD is hockeys Tin Man. He’s got every tool it takes to be a star except for a heart.
Not every player who gets drafted deserves to be there.. the draft is usually a bust and more teams shouldn't rely upon it to build a team
5:10 huh? Which clowns thought hugely overpaying for the privelege of giving PLD a horrible contract was a perfect fit?
PLD is a lazy bust. Period. He whined to go to Montreal, but they knew what kind of player he was, thank God.
PLD is going to drag the Caps down, Ovi is going to score even LESS than he did last season, Caps will NOT make the playoffs. Ovi signs with the NYR and breaks the needle nosed pricks' record at MSG in a blueshirt in Jan '26 then IMMEDIATELY retires the next game.
Well, as an arm chair player, I think PLD is just straight up lazy. Now, you might object to that statement, but lets be real….if you mess up in one market, sure that happens. If you mess up in 2, ok….if you mess up in every single market you enter? Thats just a lazy player, get the money, check out. I think PLD is exactly that kind of player. Honestly, I think he should be kicked to the curb and let some younger, hungrier, willing to play their worth players in. He has has enough chances.
Hi, I'm Nobody Important in Hamilton. If PLD found that it stinks in Columbus and it stinks in Winnipeg and in L.A. maybe the stink is deep in him. Like under his nose.
Rob Blake is to blame.
The one hard and fast rule of being a fan, is that everyone is an expert based on a player's past performance. If we could see the future, we'd all be lotto millionaires.
I remember all the posts saying that Jack Hughes was a bust, after his rookie season. Hell, someone on an Oilers MB dug up a message someone posted in 2015 saying that McDavid was overrated and the Oil would regret drafting him. Before last year, I posted that the Kings should have drafted Stutzle instead of Byfield. Oof.
he will be lucky to get 80 points just for being on the first line
nhl paycheck for a beer league ringer. when you can notice a player coasting out of 12 players and 4 referees/linesman on the ice, in every game, oh hell nah. get the grifter off the ice. I think once he got the bag, and the grift secured, he don't gaf. Rob Blake, stop surfing in that dirty Pacific ocean and getting hit on the head at beach volleyball. what were you thinking?
4 teams in 8 seasons…. That’s a good look lol
