  1. Thay need to replace him with a new owner who knows what they're doing no wonder why the pirates are bad Thay say well were not doing good let screw our players what an evil move

  2. At the end I believe pirates actually loose way more than they “saved”
    🤦🏻‍♂️ idiot move
Don’t u think other future free agents not gonna have that in mind

  3. pro sports are business. the individuals are 100% replaceable. players arent OWED millions of dollars to play a meaningless game. no pro athlete is worth tens or hundres of millions of dollars and they never will. pro sports dont save lives

  4. I disagree. He signed the contract as stipulated and frankly played terribly so whether they release him 1 ab short or 50, if you don’t want that to happen, don’t have it included in your contract and if you want more control of your contracts, play better and get in better shape.

  5. My dad was a lifelong Pirates fan. He loved Clemente Parker Stargell ll and the rest of țhe 79 Pirates. He’s turning over in his grave that the Bucs have taking Tanking
business model and shafting players out of bonuses. He'd say something like. Used to e a classy organization. This is my feeling: They lost their way in the 90s.

  6. I get it that business is business, but this seems shady on many levels. They should have let him go a lot sooner if their intention was not to pay the incentive. This just looks bad on the organization and very obvious why.

  7. When I first heard of this news I was disgusted and angry. Those fans come out and support this team no matter what, and to fuck over players over nickels and dimes is a fucking joke to a billionaire. They should have done the right thing and to say the 200k didn’t play a factor is COMPLETE BS!!!!

  8. i'd agree respect them more if they just admitted this is why they did it.

i hope another teams signs him and gives him 4 PAs bc then the Pirates are on the hook for 99 percent of the money.
