  1. "Bothered" is a perfect word choice. Any other manager with a pulse would be "pissed off", but Rocco is still grappling with basic human emotions. He wasn't perfect, but I miss Gardy.

  2. The Twins were never a great team this year, just look at their record against teams at .500 or better. I love the guys, but had the schedule not had large stretches of mediocre and worse teams, the Twins real performance level would have been obvious.

  3. The whole organization needs a good "house cleaning"! Blaming the players doesn't cut! Ownership, management, Rocco and his staff would be a start. The lack of hustle is terrifying. So Rocco will be bothered by this calamity? Will he return his paychecks? Don't bet on it!

  4. You completely missed the point of that post game interview in my opinion. You missed the blatant gaslighting in an attempt to get sympathy. Any of his words about this being the first and only time he’s experienced something like this, is objectively gaslighting. This isn’t even the first collapse he has been the manger for?? and I’m sure he’ll learn and never let something like this happen again…… anyone focusing on the pain of him having to be bothered by this forever took the bait hook line and sinker…..

  5. If Baldelli stays, I am done as a fan, and I have watched the twins since 1961. Baldelli doesn’t make sure the team is fundamentally sound. I have never seen so many fielding blunders, base running blunders, coaching blunders, pitching blunders.

  6. I'm really surprised they lasted this long. Another typical Twins year, including long stints on the injury list. Thank goodness the Vikings appear to be competitive this year.

  7. Declan you are too close to Baldelli. Too Minnesota Nice. Next year please try to be more objective. Rocco needs to be held accountable for his share of the failures. Maybe he should take his analytic robotic style of managing to the south side of Chicago.

  8. next spring- teach everybody how to bunt. ROCKO is not to blame-ownership being cheap asses at trade deadline, gambling that rookies would suffice (which they didnt), and players like Julienn costing the team at least 4 games with errors, and star players being hurt half the dam season–Correa and Buxton- get hurt again for more than a week, –get released. The only non pitchers worth keeping are Buxton, Correa, lewis, Castro and Sanatana, ..larnach n Wallner can hang in st paul. everybody else can go back to st paul or be dfa-ed. Jax, Duran, sands, Lopez ober and ryan can stay–everybody else in pitching–hit the road jack!!! pohlads!! spend some effing money this year–the team and fans deserve it!!!!

  9. Develop the minor league players. Give them a bigger role in the team. Rocco is a good coach. Get rid of Royce Lewis. He is always injured and his inconsistent play at the plate is obvious.

  10. I was there in 87 and 91. Not having Buxton and Correa playing and holding others accountable killed “us” besides a historically bad bullpen. What happened to Lewis ????

  11. The most important players on the Twins 1987 and 1991 World Series teams were developed during the Calvin Griffith era or obtained via trade using Griffith era players. Hrbek, Gagne, Gaetti, Puckett, Bush, Brunansky, Laudner, Viola, Blyleven, Tapani, and Aguilera. The Pohlads were fortunate to inherit a lot of talent when they bought the Twins from Griffith in 1984.
