Sadly, no because MLB rigged the Padres to have the easiest schedule leading into the playoffs. Playing Detroit and White Sox back to back before they played Dbacks. And the split between the Braves and Mets is completely BS. As a Diamondbacks fan I hope Philly takes it all.

No matter what happens, I am proud of the D-backs this season. While I'm disappointed they didn't get the 90 wins I predicted, I am still happy with the winning record. Now let's see what happens tomorrow in the Braves/Mets doubleheader (winner of Game 1 must also win Game 2 for the D-backs to make the playoffs) and win in the Wild Card round!
can the winner of game 161 forfeit game 162 in order to preserve pitching? or would there be some sort of repercussion? bc that definitely seems pretty unfair to the dbacks if braves/mets can.
