Who were your favorite 90' team players? Any World Series moments you specifically remember?

I know I never expected the Reds to win. A's had so much talent, the fact the Reds swept was even more a shocker!! I remember Marty Brenemann stated the 90' Championship as sweeter!

  1. Born in 79 so definitely 1990.
Loved Barry Larkin and the Nasty Boys.
Browning and Rijo were fun to watch.
Sabo and Davis were favorites as well.

  2. Wasn’t alive for either 🙃

But I’d choose the 75/76; however, the 90 team seemed like a blast catching lightning in a bottle

  3. 90 because I was 12 and my dad took me to game one. It was the peak of my sports life

I’m 46 now and I have 5 kids and none of them have seen a playoff win

  4. I was at Game 2 of the 1976 World Series. I was 13. The Big Red Machine was a HUGE part of my life.

  5. Gotta say 1990 cause I was just at that age where I could become a fan. That 5-8 year old stage where a kid finds a sport or something to be a fan for life of, and their hometown team wins the big one, that cements their Fandom. Like, you can jump on a bandwagon when you’re a kid, but if you end up liking the best team at, say, 36 years old, you’re a bandwagon fan

However, I will conced that if I were old enough for the 75-76 teams, that would’ve been amazing

  6. Hard to compare the two. The Big Red Machine had The Great 8 one of the best offenses ever. 1990 The Nasty Boys one of the best pitching staffs ever. Regardless I love the Reds.

  7. I was 4 months old in 75. I’ll go with ‘90. I went to a bunch of games that season.

  8. I loved both, but give me ’75 over the Red Sox and Carl Yastrzemskiany day. It was so cathartic. 1976 was just a formality. 1990 was something special. No doubt.

  9. 90. I only remember being on my dad’s shoulders as we switchbacked down the concrete ramps in riverfront stadium after a win.
