  1. So if the coach is not executing in his roll AKA. Oli Marmol for 2 years you need or should make a change?? Or perhaps you don't mind drawing 10 to 12 thousand fans a game next year. This is the ST. Louis Cardinals, these fans have ALWAYS supported this team (40 thousand on at Tuesday night game), give them a reason to keep doing so. Right now they the fans wonder where the MOJO has gone and wondering what we got to do to get it back. The St Louis Cardinals have always been the team with the MOJO.

  2. Such a tough decision I’m sure. I’m so sick of fans acting like we would be in the Padres spot if we had Schildt. So narrow minded…

  3. Brenden, what about all off the other "training wheels" in the dugout? The quality coach, coordinator, and the assistant to the assistant to the assistant? Too many cooks in the kitchen, and everything tasted BAD! 🤮

  4. Yet they’re still going to let Moz make the decisions on acquisitions? 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Meanwhile the Reds get Francona. Sigh. Sonny owed $65M 🙄Thinking the money could be better spent trading both him and Arenado. How about Roger Craig as hitting coach. Talk about success with RISP😃. Such a shame his career was derailed by injury.

  5. Huh. I didn't know Ward was responsible for signings, non-signings, trades, call-ups, demotions, lineups, calling hit-and-run plays, calling steals, green-lighting 3-0 swings, and bunting (or at least deciding when most players should go through the motions a time or two before swinging away). (shrug) Maybe, Chris Maloney could use a golfing partner. There are enough scapegoats for Mozeliak's hubris-driven incompetence to have a tournament now. (shakes head) It's like watching a sinking, petty dictatorship changing military officers during a losing war; it's first victims being Truth and Shame. Ai, ai, ai… =/

I've been an STL fan since 1967, and I've stuck with our team through thick and thin, but I will no longer be loyal after nearly a decade of lies and chronic blame-shifting/deceitful irresponsibility. It's always somebody else's fault. Never Mozeliak's. Never DeWitt's. Multiple pitching coaches, Matheny and so many others — they even tried to throw Contreras under the bus last season. (Yeah, the Contreras thing backfired, and they had to walk it back — but it still revealed their true instincts and lack of character.) The Cardinals are no longer special. The Cardinal Way is dead — and Mozeliak and DeWitt directed its ritual murder. So, anyway, I'm out. The days of my MLB.tv blackouts are over. Go Dodgers!

  6. I completely agree with everything you said. This was pretty easy to see coming after the offense the last two years, the FO was gonna have to show the fans they were doing SOMEthing to address the issues.

  7. I do agree with a lot of the sentiment here in the comments. You are not putting pressure on anyone if you are not on base. Getting on base by any means possible is a good way to look at it. How many times does a pitcher walk the first batter of an inning and they end up scoring? It happens a lot!!!!!! And we have to get a coach that emphasizes contact and hitting with runners on. We have to get better at that for sure.
