This has the feeling of when the Reds traded for junior. The entire baseball world was in agreement on how he would be the missing piece. This is an outstanding move though!
You’re absolutely right Greg Amsinger I am so fired up
I’ll be curious to see if this means a departure from the analytics heavy philosophy of the FO. I don’t think you’d bring a guy like Francona in to just read off a script like Bell. Hopefully we do what other teams are doing and going to more of a hybrid approach.
Been wanting Tito for years. Was disappointed when he went to Cleveland and not us
I never thought I’d be eagerly looking forward to spring training 5 days after the completion of an 85 loss season but dammit, here I am.
Have always loved Francona from afar….It’s amazing that he now manager of my favorite team. Very excited for next season and the hopes that the FO is really now committed to winning. I feel like we owe Marty Brennaman a tip of the cap. Nothing to validate it but i loved how we was interviewed recently and said with such conviction that the Reds must hire Tito!
Managers that win have a gut feeling. They also have confidence in their players to succeed a high percentage of chances.
Now I just hope we can watch the games next year with this Bally drama.
I’m in Columbus so I’m worried they will air on a local Cincy station but even though I can’t get the local Cincy channel I’m still considered “in market”.
Hopefully they just air the games on a streaming service like MLBtv and you can but a package for just your team. It’s really going to suck if I can’t watch the games next year without watching buffering 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️ streams
Don’t eff this up, Bob.
Dropping in as a guards fan you guys take care of our boy Tito!!!!! He’s amazing and you guys are lucky to have him.
Feels like when Dusty signed with us. We went from goofing around with Bob Boone and Jerry Narron and went and got an actual capital M Manager.
Seeing Harold Reynolds brings me joy and also reminds me how much I miss Baseball Tonight.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Next season can’t come fast enough
I’m not sure why everyone is pumped up. Francona is certainly heralded as a good manager around the league, and that’s great. But we had Dusty Baker for however many seasons, and we couldn’t advance in the playoffs with our relatively “generational” talent. He was scapegoated and went on to win championships in Houston. I hope Francona gets them to the next level, but if he doesn’t (and I see better than I hear), can we start pointing the finger at ownership?
My soul will be crushed if there is a 2025 Cle Cin World series match up, and Tito takes it all with the reds. I’m super excited to see Tito back and the Reds to be winners
I’m excited for the Reds. It feels like they got the right mixture of pieces, they just needed a Manager to help it along. Francona is that guy.

Bring in votto as a hitting coach also

I mean the next step is a winning season. It’s not like the next step is winning the World Series
Dear God, don’t let the front office neuter this excitement and possibility
The pain of this year was entirely worth it to get this coach. Just what this group needs to finally step it up!
