  1. The first lions game I watched was November 6th 1977. The Lions beat the Chargers 20-0 I knew I’d be a Lion for life and that Greg Landry was the greatest player of all time. I always had a soft spot for my quarterback. RIP.

  2. Such sad news, he was the first Lions quarterback that I rooted for as a kid, he was a tough guy on the fields, and from everything I read over the years, a great guy off the field. Rest in peace, Lion King.

  3. RIP indeed that man took some real abuse he was a pretty tough qb on a lions team that could not protect him at all.

  4. I still have the pink football he signed for me when I was about 11. I thought he was the best QB ever!

  5. I remember his 76 yard quarterback sneak in 40-0 victory over the Packers in the 1970 opener.

  6. Greg Landry played long before I started watching the Lions, but I knew him as the last Lions pro-bowl quarterback for decades until Matthew Stafford. I’m sure he was happy to see the Lions resurgence of the past few years. Rest in peace, Greg.

  7. At 62 now I remember my dad talking about his long QB sneak right after it happened. A few years back my mom bought me an autographed ball and I have it in a case in my office with all my sports memorabilia. RIP Greg Landry.
