One thing on that first goal that I think was underrated was how patches was able to sneak behind the goalie so fast without making contact

Alright has Matthews been playing post shinny again? For those of u who don't know what that is Post shinny is a Canadian hockey term where instead of playing to score on the net u "score" by hitting the post. This is usually done when there's not enough players to have a goalie so to make it fair u score on the post instead of the net. However this drove MANY a minor hockey coach MAD as it developed the bad habit OF CONSTANTLY HITTING THE POST INSTEAD OF THE NET. I knew guys that played hockey and they would say "Cant play post shinny during the hockey season Coach will bench me for it."
Just like Rick Jeanneret for the Sabres and Bob Cole for the CBC Habs games ( may they both RIP ) Joe Bowen is a legend on commentary .

I don’t know what Nylander’s problem is these first two games but, frankly, I’m unimpressed. Turnover after turnover, hogging the puck, can’t defend even a little bit, careless penalty and then acts like an 8 year-old. 😒

Sometimes even though I get home by the mid-end 1st period. I stay in the car and listen to Bowen on the radio for the rest of the game
