4. I forget who on Twitter reported this so idk the validity, but I saw a report that Casey himself said that he was really starting to feel the difference in scheduling between the NCAA and the NHL. So if this is true, with Luke and Pesce inbound anytime soon, I would rather Seamus step down now, especially while he's highly regarded in everyone's minds, and more slowly adjust to the professional level while further honing his skills in the AHL, instead of crashing and burning.

5. This is best for Casey. As mentioned in the video, Keefe was getting gun-shy to give Casey minutes due to his overall liability to the NHL team, but the kid needs as much time on ice as possible for his future.

   I fully believe that Casey will be hungry for more after getting a taste of the NHL and he'll definitely make it even harder to send him down after he gets called up again.

7. Not gonna lie…with Jack not really producing much, I would send him down to the 2nd or 3rd line. Maybe that'll give him a kick in the ass to step it up a little.

8. Palat is the worst player in the league. You could replace him with literally anyone from Utica and you wouldn't notice any difference. He should be ashamed to cash his checks. I got banned from a Devils fan forum for dumping all over the signing the second it was announced. Look at him now. He's complete trash. Doesn't belong on any line. One of the worst contracts the team has ever handed out.

9. Give the kid props. He gave everything on his shifts and delivered important goals, solid player. Wish him luck! Thought Nemec would have went before Casey. Palat is dusty, should have drained his breakaway Saturday night. LGD!!!

10. I think Nemec looked like crap starting off but has slowly been looking better and better each game. Palat on the first line hurts my head. Maybe it works but at this point i think Noeson needs to go in there. Hes had time on the PP with Jack and Bratt and is the best devil at playing fetch other than the captain.

11. The schedule is ridiculous. There's the long break in February, and otherwise it's packed. We have 4 games in 6 nights multiple times, twice in October.

    I don't know if this will be a popular idea but with our depth and the busy schedule and the high-energy style, we should platoon some players. Dress 23 guys and use healthy scratches.
    The schedule definitely didn't help Casey. I think it also contributed to the shitty play vs the Caps and it could even make injuries more likely.

15. It’s frustrating they cant find someone to play on jacks wing and idk if its cuz half the time they dont know wat jacks doing with the puck.. jacks super skilled and hes a competitor ive seen that in him he needs to get going.. i wana pissed off jack that people pay to see

17. Even tho the team is flawed, there's too much talent to be worried ! Seldomly does a team hitting on all cylinders early in a season , can carry it all year long.

20. Thanks for making me feel better about Casey. Hopefully Misyul helps until Pesce and/or Luke is back. In regards to Palat I really think everyone is in a bad spot. Not sure if this is still accurate but last I heard he had a team worst +/- In his shoes I’d be real aware of that and the fact that I have this high contract for no real return. Makes you grip the stick too tight, and exacerbates the problem. Honestly best thing at this point for I think both him and the team is to waive the NTC as sometimes teams just aren’t a good fit. Now hopefully by me saying that he proves me wrong and scores a lot on that top line.

21. This is basically giving Palat a chance to see if he can produce with the top 2 most offensively skilled players on the team. If not then he's gotta go but he has a full NMC

24. Like most people, I'm cool with Casey going to Utica. Let's consider how well he did in the short stint he got in NJ and think of how much better he's going to be after being able to get more ice time and more responsibility in the AHL while also getting used to a heavier schedule. The kid is going to come back and really shine, I think. Nemec should honestly be sent down, too, when both Luke and Pesce are in the lineup. NJ has an embarrassment of riches on defense and these kids are going to be beasts when their time finally comes for real!

27. I think Pesce will make his Devils debut before L. Hughes comes back. I also think that Pesce could make his Devils debut as early as Thursday.

28. I may be overthinking it, but its also possible they decided with people coming back from injuries it would be better to guarantee him top pair ice time in the ahl as well as the scheduale

29. Why are we trying to make some dramatized headline out of this? They have too many D, so they dont want to burn a year plain and simple. Casey brings more skill set then Hamilton if were being technical. Hamilton has a hell of a shot. God knows Hamilton doesnt know defense. He is the knew kid, and they dont want to burn a year of his contract…
