  1. Honestly, so far this season McD hasn`t been what he used to be. Draisaitl had the team on his back already, he scored 6 goals, McD only 3 and some point have been secondary assists.
The issue the Oilers have is that MCD and Drai don`t bring what they usually do (above 1 ppg) and that all the others are cold as ice.
Hyman doesn`t have a goal yet, 10 games in, RNH has 1g 3a, Skinner, Arvidsson, Henrique, they all lack scoring.

  2. I completely agree that with players like 97 and 29, you can never count the Oilers out. They consistently deliver strong seasons, but their potential is so high that it’s hard to predict just how good they can be. It’s interesting to see how many people have strong feelings against the Oilers; it’s a testament to their skill and competitiveness.

  3. I do not understand how the team that made it to the SC finals just have an absolute dogshit of a season start. They really should have won the cup, cause they wont get any other chances. Drai and McJesus need to leave asap.

  4. i don't wish the players bad luck. it's just poetic justice though seeing how dogshit EDM is this year after a lot of their fans thought the oilers were all that and a bag of chips. 🙃

i didn't even think they would be THIS awful across the board – goals scored, goaltending, special teams.

i think they can make the p-off's but them getting back to the SCF won't be easy. and EDM won't get a better chance to make it back than this season.
not after they gotta pay bouch-bombs, mcJ and then there's whether to pay skinner in net, or find a new goalie.

  5. Did EDM have any major adversity last year? I know the bad start, but that was their own doing. Did they have any major injuries?

It will be interesting to see how the team reacts. Not just 29, but the whole group.

  6. I know there is a limit how many times you can come back from the "death" but just no way I can count out the oilers
hope McD will get back quick ❤from Denmark

  7. he doesn't complain much or take days off… but we should. That was TRIPPING, but ref did not call it (incompetent?).
Drais signing for $14m x 8 = $108mil… but his stats are greatly inflated by McD. Lets see if he can lead a line (hope so).. and get them thru next few games/weeks. Of 32 teams we are 32th in GoalsFor but our media keeps telling us we have the greatest offence ever and the #1 and #2 players in NHL so a chance to prove the EDM media knows hockey

  8. Leon isn’t even a top 30 player in the league now, he got paid and doesn’t care anymore. He plays like 40 year old Ovechkin now just glides around waiting to get to his spot to only miss the net when someone gets him the pick.

  9. This type of injury seems to have become more common in recent years, with the skate going into the boards, looking like nothing much happened, but the player having to leave and missing games. McDavid is lucky. Reinbacher in Montreal had a similar one and is missing the whole season. You never used to see this and my hockey watching goes back to the 70's. Is it just that the game is faster so they go in with more force, or is it something with the new light weight design of modern hockey skates vs. the old leather ones they used to wear?
