  12. Casuals donā€™t know that the Steelers have beat the Ravens like 8 of the last 9 games. Also the next good game Jackson plays against the Steelers will be the first. There are no great teams in the NFL. Including the Chiefs. They have an all time great player. They are not a great team. Period. The Steelers can lose to anyone and beat anyone. The have a ferocious pass rush. Good experienced QB and a borderline HOF coach. That makes them dangerousā€¦

  14. I think the Steelers actually ARE contenders. They are a balanced team that donā€™t have any massive weaknesses to exploit. Theyā€™ve had some trouble stopping the run recently, but Iā€™m confident that Tomlin and his staff will have that fixed over the bye. Iā€™d REALLY like them to aquire a WR so that Van Jefferson isnā€™t their number 2 option. But with ā€œStone Coldā€ Cal Austin improving every week, maybe he can become the de facto number 2. Either way, Naji Harris needs 20 touches per game, Jaylen Warren needs 10-15, and George Pickens should have at least 12 targets every game. Russ has done a great job maximizing the talent they have. Theyā€™re also 7-1 against the Ravens in the last 4 years. If Iā€™m a playoff team in the AFC, I would NOT want to see the Steelers line up across the line of scrimmage.

  23. Russ was an electric athlete in his prime. I wish he still was. But one thing I hate about these talking heads is they talk in absolutes all the time. As if there was never a team without an elite QB in his prime that has won a Super Bowl. They act like itā€™s impossible. Nick Foles won one ffs

  24. Being a Seattleite since 1971, I've followed my Seahawks since their inception. Russell has never looked sharper on his throws and is exhibiting the best pocket presence ever. He is the third highest rated quarterback in NFL history for a reason. He prepares before and during a game like no other quarterback, He is super focused and never gives up. My favorite quarterback of all time. I've always hated the Steelers since the mid 70's when I loved the Cowboys back then. And the Steelers robbed us of our first Superbowl in 2006, but I'm routing for Russell.

  26. At the very worst the Steelers could split the division 3 and 3, they should beat Washington and Philly, lose to KC. So at the very least I have them finishing 11-6

  27. While the game ended well they better get it together before the 2nd half. If we play the 2nd half of the season like we played the first half of this game, it's gonna be ugly. Wilson sacked 4-5 times, the run defense and the secondary need work. I believe they can fix these things and finish strong.

How many times has the Ratbirds beat the Steelers in the last 5 years???With or w/o Lamar..Lamar has sucked against the Steelers everytime e plays them…I think the Steelers are 7-1 in the last 4 years…We were 5-1 in the division last year with K.Pickett at QB….So all the talking heads talking about the Ratbirds should check the record….The Bengals have beaten the Steelers more than the Ratbirds in the last 4 years..

  38. I agree with Russ, the second half of the schedule is really going to tell us a lot about the Steelers. I think if they wouldā€™ve had Russ to start the year, they could potentially have beaten Indi and possibly Dallas. Those wound up being close at the end. I think theyā€™re even better than their record says. However, there is still the matter of the second half the schedule which includes Philadelphia, Kansas City and Baltimore. The test is coming. Letā€™s go Steelers!!
