  1. To me GP has Been the biggest untapped talent in the NFL …the guy is Randy Moss 2.0 ..his ability on the 50/50 ball is unprecedented. He is a 70/30 proposition when that so called 50-50 ball comes his way.. Wilson’s deep ball is top tier ..the arch accuracy and space is elite. These 2 players are going to have a great fruitful season. Play action with NAJ and the others is exactly what this offense is designed for… cutting out the cancer that was Matt Canada and watching this team recover has been very cool to watch!

  2. Im surprised actually. It turns out i hbknk the problem Russ had in Denver he is a leader. Professionalism, and Respect is the knly problem Tomlin has. It may be that thd HC doesnt play mentor in the NFL and its just schemes and dynamics. The captains have to enforce resoect for the team and that th8s is professional sports.

  3. Russ is also relatable in that locker room. A guy shouldn’t be required to be everybody’s best friend to be an NFLQB!

NFL football is a grown man’s business. Players should respect and appreciate each other, but whether they are “liked” or not is some peewee-level bullsh!t.

  4. You are obscuring and diminishing Russ a lot!

He’s not Ryan Tannehill. He’s not Trent Dilfer or Nick Foles. Sean Payton gets all of this credit for having a playbook that reads like the Da Vinci Code, but what has it gotten him?

Besides, Russ had a complex offense when Brian Schottenheimer was his O.C., and he looked the best he had ever looked.

The bottom line is that, under the right conditions, and even under the wrong ones at times, Russ is as deadly as any QB. Mahomes needs the right conditions. Rodgers needs the right conditions. Stroud needs the right conditions. Jayden Daniels, Jared Goff, Joe Burrow…

Every QB is a system QB. EVERY QB!

Mahomes has shown even in KC that he’s capable of looking like sh!t under the right conditions.

Simplify isn’t really the word. The Seahawks relied on Russ to save them many times, even when they were going to SBs.

You’re diminishing Russ’s status as a QB. He’s no idiot. He has high processing ability. What he doesn’t need is too much complexity (i.e., change) pre-snap. He’s the type of playmaker who does that post-snap.

    Brady
    Manning
    Brees

    Pre-snap play-makers

    Russ
    Mahomes (maybe a hybrid)
    Jackson

    Post-snap playmakers.

Btw, it’s okay to lean on Russ to bail you out every now and then. He’s the best QB in the league at doing it. Pete Xarroll got lazy with that defense and began to take Russ for granted. That’s why Russ wanted out of Seattle.

But Russ gets a kick out of racking up game-winning drives. He loves that pressure and plays his best football when he’s under it.

  5. As a fan I have seen there progress from the past to how things are with the steelers now. I always wanted us to be a team and they have done a great job overtime building.

  6. The league has changed. Scoring down and winning football is run game with play action with a good defense is the recipe of winning football.
