The Denver Nuggets defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 124-122. For Denver, Nikola Jokić recorded his 134th career triple-double (4th of season) and led the way with 23 points (5 3PM), 20 rebounds, 16 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks while Russell Westbrook (29 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) and Michael Porter Jr. (24 points (6 3PM), 7 rebounds) combined for 53 points in the victory. After tonight’s game, Nikola Jokić becomes the first player in league history to record a game with 20+ PTS, 15+ REB, 15+ AST, 2+ STL, and 2+ BLK (since steals and blocks were first recorded in 1973-74).
Nikola Jokić joins Russell Westbrook as the only players to record a 20-20-15 game since 1968. Westbrook tallied 20 PTS, 20 REB, 21 AST in an OKC win over LAL on Apr. 2 2019. The last player to have such a line prior to them was Wilt Chamberlain on March 19, 1968.

  1. Westbrook reminds me of his Thunder days because in his prime relentless and hungry is what he is. People can say what they want. But there’s a level of intensity and passion for the game he has that’s hard to duplicate.

  2. I love how these REAL Denver nuggets fan appreciate RUSS. Not what happened with them cry-baby ass, scapegoating fans in the far west. They legitimately love russ.

  3. As a basketball fan this is really nice to see. Westbrook just needs to be in the right situation. He’s actually some pretty good games this season. It’s nice to see him in rare form. People don’t seem the realize the reason why they call “Westbrick” because of his former consistency. He literally made getting a triple double look boring.

  4. The Thunder don't look strong enough to deal with his drives and although they left him open for 3s, they didn't even put a hang up close to him.

Well done to him though. Take what they give you

  5. If people watch games and players and not just listen to these bullshit ass analyst, you would realize russ had this in him all along.

For russ's career hes always been a high usage player. He needs the ball in his hand to be effective. The last time he had the pass to ball like hes doing now, was the short time before Clippers traded for James Harden. Before that it was the playoffs, when kawahi and paul george were both injured, before that it was washington with beal. Before that it was okc. Do you guys get the pattern?

I guarantee you a squad of russ, murray/braun, gordon, porter, jokic will be our championship. He just needs a coach that knows how to use him. Him coming off the bench messes up his game. Russ needs to start.

  6. "The Westbrook experiment has failed… Get Nikola help." Smh. Funny what a week does. Brodie's a competitor, cares about how he plays, and really knows how to shut up the haters. The team was always going to look clunky in the beginning of the season. Young guys are making the most of their opportunity, and Russ is showing he's been who he always is.
