  3. Best game of the season for Jack, bratt and palat. Hischier line was good, 3rd line was kinda bad and 4th was what it was. I feel bad for Tatar losing his two linemates and being with mcdermid and dowling, although mcdermid was actually extremely close to putting one in last night.

    Anyway, good game overall. Markstrom didn’t have a great game but he also shut the door when he needed to and didn’t give up a tying goal. Devils played with the lead for 58 minutes and never gave it up so props for that. Dougie and Dillon is a rough pair when defending though, they’re going to get scored on more than the other pairs. Need them to start pumping in a few goals to make up for it. Luke and especially Pesce have been great in my eyes, Pesce is a great option to have to throw out there to settle things down. I’ve noticed he’s really really good at batting pucks that forwards are trying to chip by him. Instead of having to recover and battle in his own zone for the puck the puck battle starts near centre because he’s engaging those players trying to chip in.

  5. Last year this type of game turns into a loss. Not the case this year and that’s a great sign of growth and maturity from the team. Not much more I can ask for in November of any season. 

    The mental aspect of the game can be just as important as the skill aspect and it’s nice to see the team growing on both sides. 

  6. The devils looked dangerous every time they gained the offensive zone last night. But then they looked sloppy whenever they were in their own zone. If they can fix their defensive structure I think they could make a run this year.

  7. Took care of business. Hoping this means Jack is back, a couple points a night would obviously be huge.

    Unless it’s clear they are just getting lucky, a win is a win. Keep rolling

  8. We played ok but lost the physical aspect and the board battles. That doesn’t bode well for playing Washington and Carolina. We need more from our fourth line. Bastian ain’t it. We need to poach more Cotters and Noessens

  9. It get closer than it was but it was a fun game to watch. Sure having it get close at time stinks but wins are wins and this was a game where our studs won it. Jack was Jack. We didn’t need to ride a hot third line to win this one.

    You can see pretty clearly what this team will be as they adjust and settle into a Keefe ran bench. It’s great. Keefe was such a solid hire i have a lot of faith in him.

    Jack looked like he was getting some of his confidence back / shaking some of his shoulder hesitancy. Even with a slow start he still is closing in on being a ppg player which is wild. More goals will come for him but man if he and Bratt continue to grow together it’s gonna be so deadly. That quick slide pass to Bratt for the goal was fantastic. I don’t care which one it is scoring as long as one of those two commits to taking the shot

  11. It’s good to see goaltending that can make some timely saves and open the door for wins.

  12. It’s beating the teams we are supposed to beat that’ll get us back in the playoffs.

  13. I’m really manifesting this Palat redemption arc. Whether accurate or not, it’s really helping having two young wizards on your line. Great game!

  14. What does Fitz need to do to convince ownership we have an ice problem? It’s so obvious watching the games that it’s a shit show out there.

  16. I thought Noesen was gonna be out for a while when his face went into the boards. Was so relieved to see him skate it off. I think that along with the bad line change is what caused the one goal

  17. Last season I was at the rock for the Devs-Habs game in January. Glad to say this time it was a W and my first in person W of the season
