  1. Uhg why do our name keep coming up in these stories? We don’t even have Vladdy, or Bichette signed to a proper deal. We are not getting Juan Soto. The whole Ohtani hype seemed to come out of nowhere, and left me disappointed even when I had no expectation he would sign here.

  2. He will top out AT MOST 500 million. It will have to be a 12 year deal at least (41.6 AAV)with op-outs, probably.

Honestly, this is an overpay but not terrible if he gives the same production for at least the next 6 years.

  3. Leave our team out of your filthy bullshit rumors, Heyman!

Would be great but there’s a 100% chance Soto is not coming to Toronto so stop using us as leverage because our owners are stupid wealthy.

  4. As a Blue Jays fan, I am absolutely NOT going to get my hopes up in the slightest about this. The Ohtani thing was too much of a pisser.

  5. He’s good, but that is just dumb. No one player is worth that.

Put that money to use on 3-4 other players and build a TEAM.

  6. 15 years??? You’re telling me teams are lining up to have this dude on the team when he is 40? That contract needs to be 12 years Max. And that is being fucking generous! 😂 one of the NY teams is gonna end up with this dumbass contract on their books!

  7. Surprised if the owners don’t eventually put a cap on max number of years for a contract.

But with no hard salary guess there’s no way to control it.
