[Bollinger] Travis d’Arnaud said he reached out to Logan O’Hoppe before his signing was announced to make sure it didn’t surprise him and to let him know he’ll be there for him. “I want him to be the greatest Angels catcher of all time,” d’Arnaud said.

  1. Has there ever been a catcher duo with both catchers having apostrophes in their last name?

  2. d’Arnaud has long come off as one of the most kind and compassionate athletes I can remember. The dude is genuine.

  3. Travis is a great signing for O’Hoppe on a good deal. Should definitely help his progression and one day hopefully Logan will be a top catcher in this league.

  4. Travis also praised the team’s pitching staff

[[Taylor Blake Ward] Travis d’Arnaud mentioned Ben Joyce in particular when asked about the Angels young pitching staff, “I know the other team is scared… we (Atlanta) knew he was going to come in and everyone was a little intimidated with him warning up in the bullpen.”](https://x.com/TaylorBlakeWard/status/1856800546910605795)

  5. I have posted this before, but a few years ago, the Braves posted a video asking players and coaches who they think would make a good MLB manager someday. A number of players, coaches, and Brian Snitker all say Travis. But more importantly at the end, Travis says himself. So I’m sure being a coach/manager is something Travis sees himself doing someday.

  6. The Baseball gods, at some point, have to glance over in the Angels direction and have something go right for a season. Please.

  7. O’Hoppe is going to love having d’Arnaud as a mentor so much, he’s going to lower case the O in honor of him.

  8. Both started in the Phillies’ system.

This is a good fit for the Angels, d’Arnaud and O’Hoppe.
