best option for the Rays in 2025 honestly, 32 mins north according to Google Maps which still is logistical for fans

  1. If the Rays score more than 6 runs, fans get free entrance to the local strip clubs if they show their game ticket stub.

  2. As a born and raised Rays fan, Tampa is where the new stadium should be. This will be a good taste

  3. Unpopular opinion: Invalidate all home run numbers and potential records for teams playing in minor league ballparks.

  4. Here’s the thing about the Rays. The current stadium is a logistical nightmare for most people who live in Tampa to get to. I live in a suburb and its 90min+ for me to get to the Stadium on a Saturday afternoon. For a weekday game against rush hour? No chance.

Them actually playing in Tampa will make it so much easier for me to go that I will probably go to a bunch more games next year now.. so this is pretty great news.

  5. # Yankees fans would like to thank the Tampa Bay Rays for the additional capital needed to secure Juan Soto

  6. They don’t have their own spring training facility? Fuck this franchise is pathetic lol.

  7. Rays to Steinbrenner: You are bad guy. But this doesn’t mean you are “bad guy”

  8. It’s not that this will be logistically feasible for fans, it’s that it will be logistically SOO much better

I have a feeling ticket prices will be very high during early season games when the weather is nice, if not I will go to significantly more games than in st Pete.

  9. 2 teams playing in minor league stadiums next season? Kind of a cool trivia thingy or whatever. Stat? Whatever. Kinda neat.

  10. What happens if they go to the world series?

The A’s vs Rays for ALcs would be interesting.

  11. It’s certainly a better stadium than the Rays play in. People always talk about how terrible Tropicana Field is but I assumed it was overblown until I went there 2 years ago. It’s actually worse than I imagined. Certainly the worst stadium in the mlb. The good thing was I was able to get good seats right behind the visitors dugout for surprisingly cheap. The same tickets in nyc would have been like $750 I imagine and I think I paid like way less then $100. The rays deserve better.

  12. Seats over 11,000 and has a professional level clubhouse and other facilities.

Good location near more of their fans, and the largest minor league park in Florida.

  13. Why are they even trying to fix Tropicana? You guys have a problem with location and the stadium. The Rays should build a new one in a better location.

  14. Average daytime heat index in the summer is 100-106 degrees, I can’t imagine them playing there unless they agree to night games only
