Okay this is gonna sound funny, If the Red Sox wanted to be competition with other teams they need to move Fenway park to Nashua New Hampshire. The taxes in Massachusetts take a chunk. But if they can make all this happen, great. But as I have said before, if they do have some budget they need to spend it on pitching and an infield coach. They did Bronson Arroyo dirty that way, signed him and than traded him.

Fun Fact: Devers was born Oct 24th, and Sotos was Oct 25th
Also, if we got Vlad, Crochet, and Soto going into this next year (let’s say we keep Duran and Devers as well). They’d be (in order as said), 26, 25, 26, 28, and 28. That’s atleast 5 more years, if not 10 in this lineup.

Why would the Blue Jays trade their best player, and fan favorite in his prime, to a division rival? That's when the whole thing just sounds fabricated.
The only problem is that we have a stacked farm and a number of the best prospects are OF. Campbell, Anthony, Garcia, Montgomery (Bleis also is top prospect but has performed terrible on the field but is only 20)
You already have Duran who is gonna get MVP votes, Rafaela who is signed long term, and Abreu/Refsnyder platoon who make a solid combo.
Rafaela may end up at SS if Story puts in his lately usual 50 games this year.
Campbell or Meidroth may end up second if Grissom stinks this year.
If everybody is healthy, youre blocking the #1 prospect in baseball and the minor league player of the year if Soto is signed. I hate to see us have such a great farm system and then have to trade all the good players away. We should let the talented kids play and spend money on our weakness which is pitching, pitching, pitching instead of adding another lefty bat. Our lineup would be something like: Duran (lefty), Story ,(righty), Devers (lefty), Soto (lefty), Casas (lefty). 4/5 top hitters lefty.
I like Soto. I am a fan of Soto. Hes a top talent available at a younger then normal age. I think maybe the Sox are realizing the pain of not signing Mookie. And I dont think we want Soto and Judge on the same team again with Stanton and their starting pitching rotation which is much better then ours. So i can see the wanting to pry him away from the Yankees. And I can see wanting to sign him since hes only 26 and might give us our more bang for our buck then a 30 yr old pitching wanting to regress as he ages. The youngest pitcher in free agency is Jack Flaherty at 29. So maye the plan is to sign Soto and then trade an outfielder or two for young pitching. It seems like it would give us a big boost but at the same time, it just doesnt seem like the best fit. But I think if you look at the big picture, it makes sense. Im just hoping we improve our pitching more so.

They never talked about Vlad. At least not specifically or by name. That would be tampering and big trouble.

Red Sox just signed Justin Wilson to a major league deal. Its silly little deals like this that tell me that they haven't changed and that i don't see them attracting any big name free agents. They traded Mookie which makes all of this just sound dumb

This isn't MVP 2005 for PS2. None of this makes any sense. They wont go after Soto there just inflating him so the Yankees over pay. The Jays wont trade there franchise face to a division rival.
