  1. if soto is demanding 600-700 million, and if winning is his #1 reason for signing. does he not know that his contract demands will hinder that team that he signs with, efforts to win. the worst thing about free agency is all the speculative reports out there that are clickbaits and the length of time a player waits to sign with a team. and if he does sign with the yankees who are they going to sign along with soto?
at this point with soto, let him walk. cos at the end of the day, though i am a yankees fan, what these players do, with the amount of money that ill never see in my lifetime, is irrelevant. i think that the decision has already been made in spite of what we are seeing and hearing. we will find out soon enough.

  2. I disagree. Juan Soto is a very good player but he is not the greatest player people seem to think. I believe he just wants to compete payroll against ohtani. Juan Soto wants to be the highest paid player in the MLB!!
Frankly 6 hundred million plus, is way too much paying him! Frankly I think Soto and ohtani are over rated! Ohtani didnt do jack in the world series and got a 7 hundred million contract and recently came off Tommy John surgery! Yankees need to have some depth rather than chase after one player. If the Yankees settle for spending all out on Soto, it's gonna be a due over from this past season! They need to polish up on there bullpen! Yankees need another starting pitcher! Put it this way, if the Yankees were to face off against the dodgers once again, The dodgers will beat them again! It would be Juan Soto, no quality 3rd baseman, no quality 1st baseman! Verdugo is gone and Rizzo is gone! preety much the same players
    And some not coming back!
I don't even feel the Yankees would show up winning the pennant again much less the world series! Time is against them! They can either play it smart or take a gamble that could possibily nipp them in the rear in the end!

  3. I don't like this. Plan B by cash never works and teh AL will be better next year. Getting Stanton and not Harper, Effross not Hader, Luke Voit not Goldschmit, Anthony Rizzo not Olsen, Donaldson not Freeman etc. No more 30s as well as Jazz wasnt that great and like Dj not great at third so more 30s-year-olds won't help being athletic, limit injuries or getting better. I don't how limit we sound as this is why the last 11 years became the Yanks from farm to free agency. Cash last won when he went crazy spending in 2009 and if Hal wants a team that wins with less than $300, its not Cash.

  4. Yankees are the worst fans ever. They should be great full to have Juan Soto. He helped to get Yankees to the WS. Now they want to move on. What? Worst fans in mlb

  5. Soto is a must Hernandez is 32 had 186 K’s he had one good post season and it was his best year of his career. Soto is 26 best lefty bat in baseball. Then sign Walker. Walker and Hernandez combine have less walks then Soto same if they added Alonso and Hernandez. Hal has to get Soto then sign Walker or make a trade for 1B then add SP and bullpen. Trade Stroman and Trevino use Rice back up catcher and bring up Durbin thats solid and be cheaper then adding like 1B CF and 2B. Dominguez Wells Durbin Gil Schmidt Volpe all make 700k so you can afford Soto SP Bullpen arm and 1B

  6. I'm a Mets fan and I don't want Cohen to pump 600+ million into a future DH. The Yankees can do a hell of a lot more spending that 500 to 600 million to make a well rounded team. Let Soto waste away in Toronto, they're willing to pay one player and finish under .500

  7. You would think after the last 7 years that one would have learned by now that going the cheaper more cost effective route doesnt work . And to think they would spend the money saved by passing in soto , wisely is blind faith at best and sheer stupidity at worst and i lean on the latter

  8. Soto is a terrible outfielder and a defensive liability. That’s generally not what you want in a guy who’s tying up 1/6th of your team’s entire payroll for a decade and a half.
