  1. I have no idea how real this shooting is. His form looks more polished and fluid, and his percentages are great in practically every situation (catch-and-shoot, pullup, corner spot-up), but he's also shooting a career low from long two range and the free throw line.

But if he somehow keeps this up, and teams actually have to respect him from three, it's gonna unlock his driving game and some playmaking too. Can you imagine Ant's defender having to go over screens and leaving the big man to deal with a downhill Ant? Good luck with that lol.

  2. Not worried about his 3pt shot taking at all tbh because he said it best himself: he sees defenders going under the screens so he's just pulling up to punish those decisions and he's making them. If the defenders start going over screens, he'll presumably drive more and create tons of rim pressure. He seems more composed and collected and that's thanks to watching HOFers play so close on the same team. If they can iron out their defense a bit more, I think the team is gonna be better than last year.

  3. Do you think this is a winning formula in the playoffs? Three point heavy SGs don't lead to championships as number 1 options. We saw that with Ray Allen, Reggie miller, Chris Mullin etc.

I feel like 2024 Ant had the better formula then 2025 Ant. MJ formula > Curry (really Lillard/Harden) Formula.

  4. One of the best parts is it causes defenders to hesitate now that he's taking 3pts at a high volume. If they defend him too high he can still blow by them with his insane athleticism for an easy 2 points. If they don't, then he'll keep shooting his wide open 3s at almost 50%

  5. I dunno. I think it’s likely he’ll have the best shooting season ever. We’re talking about Ant here. 😏 Also appreciate the new graphics to illustrate player movement/play design.

  6. Fantastic analysis again. Ant like so many players absolutely thrives when he gets his rhythm and pointed to that in his post game yesterday. He doesn’t look like he’s just jacking but getting to his spots and making smart basketball decisions based on rhythm and whether the defense wants to drop or hedge. Still young but with more experience he will perfect this rhythm basketball that makes him and his teammates better. So hopeful for this team with a leader like this developing so much at such a young age

  7. It also helps that Randle is Walking Mix Match. If his matchup to small he’s going to the paint, his matchup to big he’s going around them. Randle is very hard to defend, because he’s mastered his handle , most bigs he’s beating off the dribble. it opens up there whole offense.
