Today I’m waking up and choosing optimism. Happy Friday, peeps.
No matter what happens, 7,500 humans will be holding gravy zamboni before the next game. If that’s not a helluva way to kickoff the weekend, I don’t know what is.

Good on the boys for getting it done though, hopefully we can take this steam into the Boston game and get something going here before the break.

Raymond jersey finally ordered
Raymond has such a nasty shot and insane puck positioning on shots. Why isn’t he shooting more?! Kid is a beast!

Glad to see Berggren finally getting rewarded lately. He’s been put in less than ideal situations given his play style by the coaching staff/team the past couple years. He’s played very well so far this season, especially with Kasper, even if the stat sheet doesn’t exactly show that night in and night out.
I’m noticing tons of mock rosters for the USA team four nations leaving Larkin off the team. There’s no way he’s left off, is there ? Guys miles ahead of some of the others on the team. I’m Canadian so it would be ok if he’s left off😉
That was a great play by Larkin and great goal by Raymond. I’m watching the replays and do you think Larkin intentionally passed to Raymond or was he knocking it away from the defender closing in and Raymond happened to be in the right place?
That was a really good win last night. I know a lot of people were saying we suck in the GDT when we couldn’t buy a goal, but the Wings pressured a ton throughout that game and kept chipping away at Sorokin until they finally beat him, and that’s how you gotta play against the Islanders.
Really kind of poetic that after 55 minutes of straight up unluckiness for the Wings, the first time that luck goes the other way and the Islanders get a broken stick defending a rush, the Wings were able to capitalize. It was a beautiful thing to witness.
Listening to the WWP weekend episode and Brad was talking about Give A Shit as a good metric for who should be getting the minutes.
I realize that we can’t bench everyone who is slacking. But putting the kids higher up in the line up, like last night, sure seemed to work. Frankly, I don’t care if we have the cheapest top six and the most expensive bottom six in the league if it gets results.

Last night was a good win, but I feel like people are reading way too much into beating an Islanders team with only 4 regulation wins twenty games into the season that plays more defensive than we do.
How does everyone feel about Kane?? If I’m being honest he hasn’t looked very good. That 2nd line was clicking last night but I’d go as far a saying Kane was probably the least noticeable on that line.
Great game last night. Lyon was solid, and some beauties from Burgers and Larkin/Raymond
Is Kasper still on an emergency call up or did I miss whatever paper moves they had to make to keep him up?
