ESPN’s Matt Miller on projecting the Steelers to draft Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe in the first round of next year’s NFL Draft:

“The Steelers’ future at quarterback is a big question heading into the offseason, as both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are set to be free agents. Either could return, but the Steelers might be searching for a more long-term option. Milroe has a combination of Wilson’s arm strength and pocket mobility and Fields’ rushing ability. He’s still a bit raw as a prospect, but he has thrown 15 touchdown passes and rushed for 17 more scores this season. Milroe just needs to improve his touch as a passer, but scouts I’ve talked to have said he has the most upside of any draft-eligible quarterback in the class. And should the Steelers re-sign Wilson, Milroe could sit, learn and develop further.”

  1. If we get Aaron Rodger’s were a laughing stock my cousins a jets fan and I laugh at him the jets are worse than with Zach Wilson bc of Rodger’s we can never have Rodger’s he is buns buns fr

  2. Aaron Rodgers or Alabama quarterback is not a good fit or a good idea the GM and the rest of the coaching staff needs focus on the draft no other quarterback in the league that's young and better than Russell Wilson and they need to pick from the draft the quarterback both of these quarterbacks sucks and one of them time has ran out for him needs to retire

  3. Im not fretting over Thursday nights lose. We are still 8 -3. Alot better than what all the haters were saying we'd be at in this moment of our season. We got our baby bye and we'll come out swinging again.

  4. Milrose stares down his receivers and only is a good runner against BAD Defenses. He has no chance to translate into an NFL Starter. My prediction total bust all the way I would not take him until 4th if at all

  5. Steelers are constantly trying to solve and fix problems and deficiencies with band-aids, other teams cast off's. The Belichick Patriots and the Madden Raiders were masters at squeezing potential and success out of other teams' cast off's because they were personnel geniuses. The Steelers, namely Rooney, have forgotten their roots…. the very roots that were cultivated and nurtured by his father, Dan Rooney and coach Chuck Noll. You build a Superbowl champion thru the draft with limited free agent signings, a predominantly homegrown team! Both methods can be only successful because you have a head coach, owner, GM, scouting department, and front office that are shrewd, intelligent, patient, dedicated, determined, and driven to be committed to a plan and blueprint that leads to success. Last thing, Tomlin has no control over this team and never has, this team is severely unmotivated and very undisciplined, Tomlin is is a PR spin doctor, not a head coach like Noll or Cowher or Belichick or Bill Parcells…. and that's always been the biggest issue and problem!

  6. Stick with russ and Fields next year I'm not opposed to getting a qb in the draft but bring them on slow and develop them without the pressure, keeping russ will stabilize the field boost the OLine and protect him better
