3. I mean, I see what you guys are saying, but you’re kind of also making the opposite point by saying things like Bruno took us to the playoffs. Jim Montgomery also took the Bruins to the playoffs last year and they made it a hell of a lot further than we did. Also, when you talk about everybody on the team under performing and saying you can’t fire all of them, that’s exactly why everybody is saying it must be the coach.

4. Brunette is a younger, offensive minded coach , who likes his teams to play with tempo. In a league where offense and speed are at a premium, he seems like the right guy for the job. The faulty roster construction is why the Preds are bad. That falls on Trotz/Poile.

5. Dan Hinote was great for keeping the guys light ; and getting down on themselves.

6. Brunette does not have the roster to play the system he is implementing and is not going to get the roster for years, so he needs to change his system. If he can't or wont change the system, then he needs to go.

7. DO NOT FIRE, great coach. Preds have a roster construction problem equivalent to "all wide receivers, no quarterback". They need a playmaker. I love ROR but he's really a 2nd line center.

I agree Brunette is a great coach and it would be a mistake to fire him, but the problem is a third of the teams salary is on NMCs for several years with guys who dont seen to fit the system, so we can hope for another gel moment and crazy comeback like last season, we can find a different coach who will almost certainly have better success with this roster, or we can just accept that we spent 108 million dollars in the offseason to fund the nhls most expensive rebuild and collect first overall picks for three years

12. At this point im almost on board with trading forsberg while hes going to still be worth a lot, and kick off the actual rebuild. Get good picks, let all the vets we signed who have already won cups play some mentor minutes

15. Not Bruno, fire Trotz. Duchene was a huge error. Askarov will prove a bigger error, mark my words. July 1st handcuffed the team by filling the cap space with over-the-hill or poor fit "stars" while the center position is still sub-par. Evangelista is regressing. Tomasino all but gone. Fabbro thrown by the wayside. It's a dumpster fire and the team is IS old.

16. You think this is bad? All preds core players are going to be in their mid 30's next year. It'll only going to get worse. There is a reason vegas and tampa let stamkos and marchessault walk. Vegas gm said he wasn't going to sign marchessault more than 3 years because of his age and barry trotz gave him 5 year term with NMC. Stamkos 8.5, marchessault 5.5. Both won the cup, they're playing for their retirement checks. Trotz gotta be the worst gm in the league.

19. There are some good veteran head coaches available to coach a veteran team. Can’t have a inexperienced head coach with a team with this many older vets

    I know everyone is sucking poiles D right now cause he’s In the hall of fame now.
    The preds have drafted good goalies, and good defence man.
    In 24 pissing years, 0 forwards drafted who topped 70 points or 40 goals. Trotz payed for talent cause poiles drafting and scouting the last 10 years has been trash.

27. it’s not the players it’s the coaching they need a different voice and Burnett is not the answer after 20 games. He should’ve had the answer. He can’t motivate these guys before the season is completely bust time for him to go. They need a different voice.

There’s no doubt the Preds have such serious problems that taking into account regular-season games from last month that ended by Saturday a.m. Central Time, find themselves already seven points behind the Oilers and Avs for the final Western Conference playoff spot. Just wait until next week, and the Preds may very well end up at least 10 points out of such a spot, with the red-hot Jets coming to town later Saturday CT.

29. Love the take ladies, coaches tend to get axed to quick. Think the other thing to remember is that Trotz wanted to bring a more exciting brand of hockey to Nashville which was the main reason he hired the coach he did. Unfortunately Trotz is still new as a GM and hasnt figured out how to get the right horses on the track yet. Should be a good game tonight, Preds always get up to play the jets. Go Jets Go!

30. People need to calm down…. Wanting to fire the coach or GM with the first 20 games is ridiculous….You are all worse than a coach that keeps changing their lines every game…. It takes time to build a great team and see where people fit in.

    The acquisition of stamkos and marchessault are great players but they need prices too. They won against the best team in the league last night and played the best hockey of the year, both players scoring goals… they do need time adjusting to their role on this team as to the teams they came from!

    The PK is top in the league and Saros is playing Vezina trophy hockey….

    Several new young players on the team and new players brought in and has to learn the system!!!

    We will finish in the playoffs!!!
