  3. How can the Leafs afford Sidney Crosby? One way. Ask Matthews to take his time to recover. LTIR until the salary cap is lifted (playoffs). If ghe Leafs can do that (11 or 13 million to Crosby's 9 million). No need for Pittsburgh to eat any money. That gives the Leafs still extra for another player. If I were Treliving, I would even offer Robertson and maybe some other bottom 6 players who we are not absolutely in need of. As for sending a goalie? Woll? I would not be in favor of. However if that's all it takes, I would consider it because we still have Stolarz, Hildeby, Murray and a new up and coming Marley goalie Artur.

    "Why would Crosby come to Toronto"?
    Statements are released that he wants another Cup. He is frustrated in Pittsburgh right now because of the lack of competitiveness. With the Leafs current success especially without Matthews, it can be bate to encourage Crosby that adding him to Toronto could mean a serious contending charge for the Cup here in Toronto. If anyone feels that Toronto has no chance even with Crosby vs the likes of Florida, all I can ask, do they say Pittsburgh has a chance vs Florida even with Crosby? 🤷‍♂️

That could never happen with a 0% chance of happening. Yeah Hayes Boston based FSG, the Pens new owners are going to trade Sid to Boston. NO CHANCE IN HELL. All fans would go away.
