Here’s hoping that Mets offer is too sweet to pass up. Personally, I don’t think there is a world where we get outbid, the only way we lose this is because he prefers to play for another team.

Steve Cohen is worth 10x as much as Hal Steinbrenner, we aren’t losing that game of chicken in a cap-less sport. And the luxury tax implications may be high, but again – 10x net worth…

And I choose to believe that the Dodgers can’t possibly afford to compete with us either unless deferred payments are made out to Soto’s grandkids.

The blue jays may drive up price, but the future of their current stars is no guarantee past this year. And the Red Sox seem to think they can compete, but are also not nearly as wealthy as Uncle Steve, and imo don’t have a comparable team – they’re just trying to sleep easier knowing they let’s Betts go for pocket change.
