The city of Atlanta PD recently put out an APB on Robert Kraft and Jerod Mayo for robbery and fraud. Damages include a fleece “Trade” of Matt Judon for a 3rd round pick. Rewards for information on the whereabouts on the suspects will be offered.
The Falcons defense has plenty of talent. This has got to be a coaching or scheme issue. I think that Robert Saleh as defensive coordinator could turn them into a respectable defense.

Our OL is getting old. We have to decide on Pitts long term… then Drake need another WR so we need OL starters Matthews getting older etc there are HOLES on OFFENSE too not Judt DEFENSE
I think their needs on defense fit with where I think the team is at this stage and what I think their long-term plan is. The plan, as I see it, is to be a playoff contender with Cousins for two years while continuing the roster rebuild which I think a lot of fans mistakenly thought was complete but looking at the roster realistically really wasn’t. And then when Penix takes over, they would have a more rounded roster to make a Super Bowl push and vault themselves into legit high-end contention.
You say they will address the pass rush in the off season cause its so bad yet that hasnt happened in over a decade. It wouldnt surprise me a bit if they didnt get any help

Jimmy Lake is more of the problem then you are thinking here. The amount of off coverage is unacceptable. 3rd and short, 10 yards off. 1st and 20 15 yards off. Its terrible coaching all around and the scheme is trash

I wouldnt really call it scapegoating when it comes to Jimmy Lake…Considering he is the one responsible for putting an absurdly small front 4 in which two guys are stand-ups on the edge + the constant soft/off coverage on crucial downs its no wonder why the defense cant stop the run. This defense is small and unaggressive in tackling compared to other teams. Hes basically just under manning the Dline resulting in lack of significant pressure + making it easy for teams to run the ball for more 3rd and short or 3rd and medium. Then once its 3rd down he plays everyone back making it and easy pitch and catch for any QB because they have all the time in the world vs a 4 man front and the whole rest of the defense is giving up the first down for free or cant make a solo tackle ahead of the sticks. Raheem needs to let someone else run the defense Lake is a failure
