  1. If he doesn’t resign with the Yankees and goes to any team it’s a wayyyyy bigger L for the Yankees due to the fact of all the pieces they traded to get him and just for one year? Thats an L. B.T definitely downplaying Soto now just in case they don’t get him. How can it be a lost for the Mets if they never had him and made it to the NLCS????

  2. If you are the Yankees the question is are you content to move from Soto and fill the holes you need to fill or run it back again with Soto. If I'm sitting in the owner chair I'd give my offer and if it's not taken then I'm going to fill in the gaps

  3. Hope Mets get him. I'm a Jays fan & even though our incompetent front office wants him, it would be a ridiculous overpay & would handcuff us for years.

  4. On your conversation if the Mets don't get Soto it doesn't put a black cloud so to speak on Cohen. If that would be the case, he did everything possible and I believe everything is for a reason. The Mets pivot and puts that money to fill the gaps. I applaud to have an owner as Cohen.

  5. This is great so try to Bring down the value of soto. But if he don't sign with yankees they are done as far as being competitive. But the Mets will be devastated. Even though they can still produce a competitive team in the strong national league east. Hard to believe Cohen would not bounce back into trying to sign the next-generational talent.

  6. I love BT but he’s nuts for this take that Cohen has more pressure on him than Hal! I’m sorry that’s such a Homer comment lol! The Yankees gave up a ton of prospects many of which contributed to a very successful Padres team this year(without Soto btw)! He as well as every other Yankee fan a few months back were laughing at Mets fans saying hahaha told you this is why we did this he’s not going anywhere he’s a Yankee for life look how bad Mets are why would he leave this for that… well fast forward a few months and Mets were the better team at the end of the year I’m sorry they were idc that yanks made it one round farther due to playing less talented teams! Even Sal is wrong about this Uncle Stevie is a GOD to Mets fans! Also and this is why I think Soto may choose Mets … if Mets sign him they still gonna go after a Pete or Adames type plus add a few pitchers! If Yanks retain Soto they’re basically done and they’re not good enough! Stand by this Yankees are better off taking money they would spend on Soto and signing Bregman or Adames a legit 1B and one or two solid pitchers etc etc

  7. As a Mets fan it’d be great to sign Soto but I truly feel the Mets need Alonso back they both need each other and Mets need him for multiple reasons. Soto won’t be as great as he can be without a bat like Alonso behind him and the same for Alonso. Imagine how many more better pitches Alonso is going to see with Soto batting in front of him. Also. Want to see Alonso play his entire career with the Mets. The Mets have very few lifelong Mets.

  8. if they dont get Soto Hal will just get Santander and 1B plus bulpen if they get Soto they still gonna get 1B and bullpen help so yes getting Soto is a must for Hal. He not gonna get 3-4 offensive players if we miss out on Soto I dont see Hal doing that. Soto is a must get for Yankees then build around him. Just move Soto to LF and keep judge in RF. Then get one year deal at 1B Goldschmidt or Santana then add Snell and bullpen arm. Let Durbin and Peraza fight for 2B Trade Stroman Cortes and Trevino add Mad Max one year deal Sp and let Rice and Rodriguez fight for back up catcher move Dominguez to CF then wait to trade deadline. Stay away from Walker he be 34 in 2025 he be another Rizzo for 3 years

  9. It’s really simple… if he chooses the Yankees it’s cuz he values A) winning consistently and B) Brand/History. If he chooses the Mets it’s cuz he wants the money, so who could blame him?

  10. Sal tries so hard to be heel. Yankee fans understand that getting into a bidding war and severely overpaying Soto is bad business. It’s a win win situation. Mets can have Soto if they go way overboard with the $$$.

  11. I’m concerned that not enough people are commenting on the emerging dark horse that is the Red Sox. They seem very focused on Soto, and Soto grew up a big Red Sox / Big Papi fan.

  12. Lol Mets haven’t won a World Series since 1986. Every year Mets don’t make it anywhere. Last season was surprising. They are not a solid organization who are contenders.

  13. BT is out of his mind. Soto is Don Mattingly in his prime right now (at the plate) He will be a HOFer. The Yankees lineup will take a nosedive if they don't get him back. If they don't have Soto, and Judge misses time they become a crap offense. We have seen it in more than enough times. Michael King is a star pitcher. If they don't sign Soto it will have been a bad trade.
