Can someone explain xGF and similar stats? I understand what they’re saying, but it seems like it innately penalizes or undervalues a player who’s already very good (McDavid) simply because they’re expected to score a lot of goals anyway. What value does it have as a stat besides showing who’s overperforming?

65% in top 6 minutes is insane. Glad we got both him and Hagel locked up long term
there should be xGF% lists with and without carolina players
