  9. O’Connell seems like a really good coach and that’s the spot I would’ve chose if I was Jones, especially for next season if they want him. If Darnold is gone JJ may not even be ready, or stinks so bad they need to bench him. Either way DJ may get another shot after some time on the bench and working with a great offensive coach for an offseason. Some great pass catchers, a good RB, and a good offensive line as far as I know, at least the tackle spots are a strong spot. Good landing spot for him I hope he does well there

  11. The Vikings really are doing QB rehab huh. First Kirk Cousins, then Sam Darnold, Now Daniel Jones. He will be a good backup there to JJ.

  35. If Darnold is gone next year, how is everyone so sure McCarthy would be a better alternative? He’ll definitely get his shot because they invested a first rd pick on him but coming off injury, didn’t exactly light it up in college and hasn’t taken one pro snap. The only positive thing McCarthy has going so far for himself is the Giants passed on him, so ya know, that’s probably a good thing for him since our GMs never miss!!! /s

  37. Seems like his options were actually not that many? 9ers needed some QB help with Purdy dealing with an injury. Thought the Lions would be the perfect place for him. Or the Ravens.

  43. Isn’t this just for the rest of the season? Really isn’t that big of a deal because he’ll probably be looking for a new team and n March again.

  44. If he is successful over on the Vikings, than that is pretty much the strongest possible declaration that our current regime is fucked.

    That said, I think our current regime has reached fucked status and nothing DJ does on another team really changes that. It just highlights it.
