There’s a time and place to be friendly with your guys but a lot of guys will respect you even more when you give them some tough love.
Looks kind of silly when those red sleeves never get near the quarterback. You can easily spot how far away he is.
Truth sucks sometimes.
Nice job calling him out, Raheem. Now do Jimmy Lake!
Surprised to see a public quote like that for a players coach, not saying it’s a bad thing. Judon seems like the type of guy that doesn’t need to be called out though
Well at least they probably have the sense to not resign him
Lol. This fan base got far too excited a dude who was long past his best years. He’d be fine as like the 3rd pass rusher, but expecting him to be the #1 was delusional. Especially considering how little help there is on the line.
Judon and Simmons are probably going to be the biggest “what ifs” of this season, and it’s probably not a coincidence that both have looked bad this year.
Judon is at the age where pass rushers typically begin to regress, and the eye test would tell you that his issues are physical, he’s getting bowled over by fullbacks etc. But it’s obvious that Atlanta’s poor pass rush goes beyond simply bad personnel. Scheming for the pass rush is absurdly complicated, and they have seemingly done Judon no favors.
Justin Simmons is probably the more obvious example of that, where we can see the scheme failing him.
Dude gives up on so many plays.
Let’s be real, to get this point in your football career, Matthew has been on various teams playing various performances.
Hopefully, he takes this in stride and begins playing well relative to who he has been in this league
At this point in the season, we got who we got and hopefully this helps a team who desperately needs pass rush
Saying this while also balking at the trade deadline is staggering.
He’s not gonna magically start playing better.
He’s in a contract year, I don’t think effort is the problem. The guy just looks washed. We got fleeced on that trade.
Judon is washed
We made a move it didn’t pan out
Cut his ass
OK, coach. Your hob to figure out why and fix it.
There were some games where Judon was getting held like crazy, but then that stopped and he still didn’t produce. Gotta think it’s the system by idk.
Wouldn’t have hurt to trade for someone else on the other side as well.
Hell yeah. Good fucking quote by Raheem. Time to get after some of these guys on defense.
Glad we have Raheem tbh. We have been missing this kind of accountability for a long time. Dan Quinn wanted to be everyone’s friend and the cool guy.
Judon hurts me like Dan Uggla did
My seats are on the Falcons side and everytime he comes off the field, he’s gassed, huffing and puffing. I swear during subs he barely makes it back
It’s almost like other teams know what they’re doing selling their old/damaged goods
Maybe don’t fall for it next time?
Wtf ever. 10 sacks in 11 games. No one is successful in the scheme. How many guys on the D are having career-worst years in this scheme? Yeah, Judon is playing terribly, but the whole D is playing terribly, so I’m looking at the coaching a lot more than I am a one-year rental.
Not disputing the reality of the statement, but source?
Calling out players for not being effective in the pass rush, while not addressing it during the trade deadline.
Realizing your FA QB is a master of the PA, during the bye week…
