  1. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, a TE…Aaron jones…a OL that is not abysmal……D. Jones got Christmas early. As a Giants fan, with this supporting cast…might see DJ unseat Darnold lol and become a legit top 10 QB

  2. It is a very good back up plan for a team looking at possibly going to playoffs. 1 goes down you got another of about equal quality, DJ has a higher ceiling. I dont think there would be a drop off if Darnold got hurt. Great sign. 375k for a backup that is just as good or better than your starter for a team likely heading into playoffs. I know there are knocks on DJ, but lets face it, he played for a team riddles with garbage and failed draft picks his whole career, First part of his career he had Saquan…thats it…nothing else…..then after Saquan, he got Nabers….a 1st year rookie, talented, but a first year rookie….and thats it. The Oline kinda improved but not really and was inconsistent. Who knows what he can do with this OC and this kind of talent around him…I mean….JJ…hes got at minimum…a top 2 WR and a very good #2 now. Him and Aaron Jones together would open up the run game…at the end of the day…they GOT to respect DJs legs even if they dont respect anything else about him and they GOT to respect JJ. I feel like DJ gives them an extra element that they dont get with Darnold.

  3. As a GIANTS fan, I can't imagine the depth of hurt, pain and embarrassment of the fan base if in 2 months the headlines read: "Daniel Jones lead the Vikings to the NFC championship game against The Eagles."

  4. This was such a great possible redemption arc…Jets sign Jones ,,,Jones sits Rogers for the rest of the season. It would be the most Jets thing ever if he was the answer, by some miracle , turning into a beast playing first the Jets….and of course…the Jets being the Jets whiffed the ball which is also the most Jets thing ever.

  5. after watching NY sports teams for 60 years , there are some athletes who , for whatever reason , just can't play in NYC area. Good luck to him and his family

  6. That lady asking if he’s being signed in case the Vikings “aren’t comfortable with Sam Darnold going into the playoffs” is a complete idiot.

  7. Sam Darnold has been great, but I can’t be the only fan (referring to Daniel jones) who doesn’t care if the starting quarterback smokes cigarettes on the sideline, hates children and drinks all night before the game as long they can bring a Super Bowl win

  8. At 9-2, in my mind, Sam Darnold has earned his right to finish this season. The idea of benching the guy thay helped us win 9 games sounds silly to even consider. I dont think that's why we got him. I think that they signed Jones for next season to back up JJ. Darnold had earned a fat paycheck and a QB1 job somewhere and why pay a QB when you have JJ under a cheap rookie contract. So go get a quality guy like Jones for cheap to to back up JJ and get rid of Mullens or the other dude and say goodbye to Slinging Sam Darnold….unless we win a Superbowl. In that case, we pay him and let JJ do the Aaron Rodgers/Jordan Love thing….ride the bench for 3 or 4 years

  9. Sam Darnold had a couple poor games this season, then comes back to play his best two games of the season. The only way Daniel Jones sees the field this season is if Darnold gets injured.
