  1. You guys just don't get it. Hackett and AR are a team. AR will only run the McCarthy/Hackett offense. You ain't changing anything until you know for sure that AR is gone. AR has the Johnson's ear, which is why Saleh had to back down when he tried to reduce all of AR's insane hand signals

  2. You keep and continue to develop Jordan Travis. Let’s copy the formula that Green Bay does by having the QB sit, develop and continue to recover. Once he feels he’s ready, he tries out for QB1

  3. Instead of getting high names let’s hit tier 2 and 3 hard and get real dawgs that love this game on this team we need to lean real heavy on our scouts and football guys this offseason we need heart and passion on the field on Sundays skip out on the big names

  4. I am sure the new regime coming in will evaluate him
And make a decision usually a new GM and HC want to bring someone that was their choice not a failed regimes leftover
Having tyrod is a good bridge if they decide to go that route there are so many holes I dont see a QB being a top priority in this year's draft because of the obvious holes in this team
This new staff will have their hands full to build a roster that can be competitive with young players Happy Thanksgiving everyone

  5. If Taylor was available to play and was impressive as you've said, then why risk the he a lth of Rodgers? Bad teams make bad moves.Personally, I don't think the bridge qb idea of Taylor is s ppl ashy enough for Woody Johnson…I look for the Jets to aquire a big named qb, CARR maybe to replace Rodgers.

  6. If Travis was in this year draft where would he stack up vs the top guys coming out. you can make the case before the injury his season was more impressive then any of this years crop. Say Sanders or Ward go first no way are they close to 5 rounds better then Travis.

  7. Happy Thanksgiving. I realy like does options Ian that you just proposed. I want to see what Travis has, and I don't mind drafting Beck. Maybe I hope that one time we can get lucky and get out QB just like all the other 31 teams. Go JETS.

  8. Clean House & rebuild. get our good assets and trade them get draft picks after draft picks. I want a young offensive minded collegiate coach ; complete overhaul. Happy Thanksgiving

  9. Giants fan here but love your content as someone who wants the Jets to do well. Interested in your thoughts on Shedeur? I think he’s very talented but feel like he may not be the right guy attitude wise after the incident with him pushing a ref and some of his stuff online with his family. Personally love what Cam Ward could bring to the team but would you prefer Shedeur?

  10. Happy Thanksgiving JC!

Travis has the potential to be a decent, at the least, starting QB. If the Jets avoid making dime store hires for GM and HC there's a lot of potential going forward. I still think that the focus going forward over the next two or three years is a ground based attack with a solid and fierce OLine (think something like the old Redskins Hogs) with the variety of backs on the team to reduce the pressure on the elder statesmen in the QB room and the young gun in Travis. I think both Aaron and Tyrod are good QBs/coaches, especially Tyrod who I have always admired, even back when he was picking up splinters on the Ravens bench. Tyrod's style I think meshes better with Travis and even if Aaron leaves having Tyrod there to continue to start and mentor Travis would be great. And Tyrod knows all about having to pick up new systems and can help Travis with that.
I don't want to see the Jets drafting a QB, and that's not because I'm a Dolphins fan. 😛 The Jets are, sadly, in the similar place to last year, needing a stable and sturdy OLine to be able to protect the investments in the backfield. That falls to the coaching as much as the personnel, so good coaches are a must! Until the Jets can effectively and consistently open holes for backs and keep the QB's jersey clean the team has no business blowing a high pick on a QB and setting up another situation like Timm Rosenbach for the Cardinals in 1990. Taking 40+ sacks in one season is ruinous. The Jets would do better putting the big effort into the trenchmen. The Jets current backs can make things happen and they don't need to spend a draft pick there. Tyrod has been an effective starter in his career and I think he could do well IF the Jets get a good line. The Jets should either pick up a QB on the last day of the draft or snag a decently skilled journeyman out of free agency, and maybe at least one of each, to put into the QB room for training camp. No need for wasting a first or even a second day pick there until they can see what Travis brings, and there are always going to be decent QBs available after cutdown day if no one seems capable of backing up Tyrod.
The Ravens won a superbowl with Trent Dilfer and with Joe Flacco, neither of whom are going to be HoF inductees. Vinny Testeverde made decent skills look superior when his jersey was kept clean. The OLine is the essential element.

  11. I am a Cuse alumni, and I watch all their games, as Kyle McCord came over from Ohio State and has lit it up, breaking all the records at Syracuse. Might be a nice choice in the third round, if he is still there.

  12. Travis's future (and any other incoming QB) all depends on the new coaching staff. I was always a fan of how the Steelers built up to the Big Ben pick. A Dick LeBeau coached defense while running with QBs like O'Donnell (3rd round), Stewart (2nd round), and others that fall into the good back-up/ meh starter like Tomczak and Maddox. Then AFTER they put some offensive pieces in place like The Bus and Hines Ward, they go with the 1st round QB Big Ben. So for this season, I would like to see the Jets bring in a veteran Head Coach and roll with Tyrod, kick the tires on Jordan, and a wild card FA, like a Fields or even Malik Willis, and see who wins out. I feel a 1st time HC will want to draft "his guy". I would like to see the Jets pass on using a pick on what 'experts' are already calling a weak QB draft class, and focus on filling up the rest of the roster with young (and cheaper) talent, given the dead money situation and the 2nd contracts to some of the highest paid positions outside of QB on the horizon (Hall, Wilson, Sauce, and JJ) And as far as the UGA QB goes, QB's always jump up on the board, he could be this year's JJ McCarthy. Happy Thanksgiving all.

  13. I say draft a guy like Drew Allar round 1. A new regime needs their QB of the future. Especially since we already have solid guys on the line, and some young weapons. You might not have many chances to pick this high with that talent so getting a QB that could have everything he needs is the move.

  14. If Rodgers balls out somehow , let Rodgers stay one last year , Travis sit behind him , maybe another rookie, Rodgers has been around long enough to learn a new system , just like how Matt lafluer put Rodgers in a system that helped him , I’d hope Rodgers would rather learn a new system and leave on a high note because in the right system Rodgers could still play great but Rodgers isn’t a douche that doesn’t help teammates , he had a terrible relationship with the packers management and still mentored Jordan Love , he understands he’s at the end so not worried about someone taking his job for the next 5 years ,

if he plays next year I can’t imagine him playing past that but I have hope Travis could be a low key star with the right development and not thrown to the wolves like every other jets rookie qb because they keep trying that method and has yet to work so if they are okay getting a bunch of ex packers players the least they could do is try to take some of their habits and let a hall of fame qb help develop a raw rookie because chances of them getting another hall of famer that could help develop a rookie are slim , hate the dude all you want but you can tell from gameplay and interviews that Rodgers helped Love and I’d like to guess most jets fans wouldn’t mind having their version of a Jordan Love for the next 10 plus years , ima packers fan and been rooting for the Jets because of Rodgers but after watching them the last two years I’m just wanting yall to be able to figure out a QB situation and coaching for the future and thrive as a team because I’m not even a jets fan and it hurts my soul to see how dysfunctional of a team it is

  15. Watching jet fans have hope for the future is so cute and adorable. Like a little girl wanting to be a princess. it will never happen. I don’t hate the Jets. I just feel really bad for the Jets fans.

  16. Was never big on him. I believe Jets wasted a pick on him. Unfortunately don't think he will have a notable NFL career. Another sign of a dysfunctional team. You can't polish a turd.

  17. Travis is a great competitor, leader, teammate. So why was he there in round 5? Average arm strength. Don’t see him being a game changer for the Jets. If Ewers comes out and is there when the Jets pick they need to take him. Dump Hackett, cut Rodgers, give Tyrod the ball and let Ewers learn by watching for a year.
