【BasketNews】 Maxi Kleber rules out return to Germany’s national team

One thing I appreciate about Maxi is his dedication to the Dallas Mavericks.
The last of the Mohicans from the pre-Luka days, I remember how he would hang out with Brunson up until he signed with the Knicks. Participates in a book club with DP and Josh Green. Seems to stay in Dallas and the States even in the offseason, injured or not. Doesn’t chase international recognition, seems settled in the USA. Would be great to culminate his career with a ring. 💍

Nothing But Love To Maxi!! The tie between Dallas & Würzburg is as strong as ever!
As has been written in “Dirk’s hometown discount contracts”… So it shall be done.
In those discount years we promised Dirk: We will give a roster spot to the best player from Würzburg, henceforth….
Currently that’s Maxi Kleber. But soon… It will technically be Max Nowitzki.
Maxi just hates basketball now
Kleber when it comes to being a brick wall

Maxi was an mffl before he was even a Maverick, he’s a real one.
This decision is not so much about the Mavs as is about Schroder.
Good for him. Although it is very sad for him not been part of this german basketball squad which won the world championship and the sucessful run at this years olympics – he for sure hates the fact that he missed these. He would have been good asset also for germany, but basketball is as much about team chemistry as it is about individual talent. And unfortunately Dennis Schröder decided to not like Maxi, and acting like lebron in la – as he learned it in during his time there – he thought he is the gm of german national team and bullied maxi out of the team with a very nasty move. German national coach Gordon Herbert did not want to fuck it up with Dennis so he did not interfere, and maxi decided it then himself to just move on and reject to play for germany anymore. Good for Dallas indeed but still sad story for maxi.
