Depends on how you look at it. For a guy with low expectations on a team with low expectations, he’s having a decent year. For a guy who wants a long term 30 mil a year deal next season, he’s having a terrible season. There’s no way this version of Giddey deserves Sengun/Quickley level long term money.
It’s not that we think he’s gonna be Anthony Edwards, I would be happy if Giddey were a solid role player but he’s not that, his defense and lack of shooting makes him actively harmful when he’s on the court.
